https://yagpdb-cc.github.ioA collection of community-created custom commands, code snippets, and utility tools for YAGPDB. Includes implementations for moderation systems, games like Cards Against Humanity and Connect Four, birthday trackers, giveaway systems, and reusable code snippets for parsing flags, time, and text.
What's inside YAGPDB Custom Commands
- The yagpdb-cc project provides a curated, vetted, and documented collection of over sixty custom commands for the YAGPDB Discord Bot. These commands are maintained by YAGPDB staff members to help enhance Discord server functionality.
Overview of the YAGPDB minimalistic tag system
The tag system provides a lightweight way to manage text-based tags. Key capabilities include:
- Creating, updating, and deleting text-based tags.
- Support for tag aliases.
- Viewing detailed information about specific tags.
- Listing all available tags.
- Executing tags using the syntax
;name(wherenameis the tag identifier).
Overview of YAGPDB Anonymous Channel features
The anonymous channel system allows for a truly anonymous messaging system using modals. Key features include:
- Private submission of anonymous messages via modals.
- YAGPDB reposts submitted messages under an "anonymous" tag.
- A sticky message containing a button for users to initiate anonymous submissions.
- Optional configuration to automatically convert any message sent within the designated anonymous channel into an anonymous message.
Overview of Advanced QOTD system features
The Advanced QOTD system automatically posts a daily question to a delegated channel. It supports a queue of member-suggested questions, falling back to random default questions if the queue is empty. Key features include:
- Support for forum channels (creates new posts) and announcement channels (publishes messages).
- Role pinging on new questions.
- A sticky message at the bottom of the QOTD channel.
- Interactive configuration (no manual config variables required).
- Ability to manage a question queue via a dedicated channel or commands.
Overview of Raid Guard monitoring system
Raid Guard is a monitoring system designed to detect and mitigate server raids by tracking new members. It monitors incoming users and adds them to a database list if their account age is below a specific threshold (default is 1 day). If the number of such users reaches a defined limit (default is 25 users) within a 10-minute window, the system sends a notification to the mod-log. This alert allows administrators or a designated role to perform a bulk moderation action (kick or ban) on all identified raiders simultaneously or manually reset the raid list.Starboard v2 feature overview
Starboard v2 includes the following capabilities:
- Automatic removal of posts that fall below the star threshold or reach the anti-star limit.
- Server-customizable option to ignore stars/anti-stars on old posts.
- Anti-star system (downvotes) with customizable auto-deletion thresholds.
- Direct reaction tracking on posts within the starboard channel (prevents duplicate stars between original and starboard posts).
- Option to ignore reactions from the original message poster.
- Warning messages for self-starring or duplicate starring attempts.
Moderate inappropriate nicknames using the Nickname Moderation command
This YAGPDB custom command allows staff to moderate inappropriate or unpingable nicknames. Due to template scripting limitations, a user's nickname is not changed immediately when the command is run; instead, the nickname is updated the next time the offending member sends a message.

Implement an emoji-only message filter in YAGPDB
The emoji-only message filter detects chains of messages containing only emotes. It allows a configurable number of emote-only messages to pass before it begins deleting subsequent messages and logging the activity. The filter uses a rolling time frame; every time an emote-only message is caught, the automod duration is refreshed. To prevent simple bypasses (like adding a period), the regex allows up to 2 characters on either side of the emotes, while still permitting phrases like 'LOL :kek:'.
Caveat: YAGPDB cannot detect message edits. Users can bypass this filter by sending a normal message and then editing it to contain only emotes.
Detect ghost pings using Ghost-ping detector v1
A ghost ping occurs when a user mentions another user and then deletes the message, leaving a notification that cannot be traced. This custom command detects such occurrences. By default, it detects messages deleted within 5 seconds of being sent. If the$CHECKconfiguration is enabled, the detection window is extended to 10 seconds.Simulate a channel lockdown using YAGPDB custom commands
Because YAGPDB template scripting does not support modifying channel permissions directly, this command simulates a lockdown by automatically deleting every message sent in a 'locked' channel, unless the sender has a designated moderator role. It does not change actual Discord role permissions.Core mechanics of the counting game
The counting game allows a community to engage in a collaborative counting task with the following rules:
- Users count up by incrementing the number by 1.
- The count resets to zero if a user sends an incorrect number.
- The system provides warnings if a user edits or deletes their counting message to prevent cheating or disruption.
Implement an on-duty staffing system with YAGPDB
The on-duty staffing system allows server members to ping only the staff who have designated themselves as available. It manages an 'on-duty' role and can automatically update a channel topic to show a visible list of active staff. To prevent unauthorized use, it is recommended to limit the command to a specific staff role in the role restrictions.
