What's inside G-WMS
- The Shipping section is the final phase of the WMS system. It handles the preparation of packages (grouped into pallets) originating from orders generated in the Order Monitor module, ensuring they are dispatched and delivered to customers.
Overview of the WMS Receipt process
The Receipt section of the WMS manages the end-to-end process of receiving packages sent by customers to the warehouse. The workflow consists of three primary stages: notifying the system of incoming shipments, creating receipt orders, and validating the physical packages via scanning.Overview of the Cycle Counting process
The Cycle Counting module is used to perform stock counts or inventory of items in both over storage locations and picking locations. The system follows a 3-round verification cycle:
- A first count is performed.
- If the first count does not match system quantities, a second count is performed to verify.
- If the second count still does not match, a third and final count is conducted.
Overview of the Module Useful View
The Module Useful View is used to establish required package dimensions according to campaign type and provide specific instructions on how to pack or handle products during the packaging process. The interface provides the following primary controls:
- Create New Guide Button: Opens a form to create a new packaging guide.
- Total Guides: Displays the total count of guides created by the company.
- Edit Button: Re-enables the form to modify existing record information.
- Delete Guide Button: Removes a specific guide from the system.
Overview of the WMS Movements Module
The Movements module in the WMS mobile application allows for the efficient relocation of items within the warehouse with full traceability and scan validation. It supports three primary operational flows:
- Box Movement: Moving complete boxes to Over Storage or Picking locations.
- Piece Movement: Relocating individual items to multi-SKU locations.
- Consolidations: Regrouping products from picking locations into boxes or multi-SKU locations.
Overview of the Replenishment module
The Replenishment module is used to restock item locations that are lacking inventory. It allows users to create replenishment orders, process them by specifying the container and destination location, and manage (delete or attend to) open orders.Overview of the Warehouse Module
The Warehouse Module is used to register and manage data about warehouses associated with client companies to administer them within the WMS system. The main interface provides a total warehouse counter and a table of existing warehouses with options to register new entries, edit existing records, or delete them.Overview of the Replenishment Module
The replenishment module is used to restock warehouse locations. The general workflow involves creating a replenishment order and then processing it by specifying the source container (where items are stored) and the destination location (the rack space identified by a QR code label). The module allows users to create, process, and delete open replenishment orders.Overview of the SLAM Module
The SLAM module is used to manage the validation of packages and orders. This process includes verifying the items selected for the order, the quantity of items, the packaging type, and the origin of the items. The module facilitates the packing process, which may include weighing and labeling the package according to provided instructions.Overview of the WMS Receipt process
The Receipt section of the WMS manages the end-to-end process of receiving client packages at the warehouse. The workflow progresses through three primary stages: pre-notification via ASNs, the creation of receipt orders and labels, and the final scanning and validation of packages.Overview of the WMS Movements Module
The Movements module in the WMS mobile app is used for the controlled relocation of items within a warehouse. It provides traceability and scan-based validation for three primary movement types:
- Box Movement: Moving full boxes to Over Storage or Picking locations.
- Piece Movement: Moving individual items to multi-SKU locations.
- Consolidations: Regrouping products from picking locations into boxes or multi-SKU locations.
Overview of the WMS Shipping workflow
The Shipping section is the final stage of the WMS system. It handles the preparation of packages grouped into pallets (bins) based on purchase orders from the Order Monitor module for final dispatch and delivery to clients. The workflow relies on two primary modules: the Bin module for managing package groupings and tracking, and the Shipping module for generating shipping orders and assigning carriers.
