  2. Overview of MinetopiaSDB features

MinetopiaSDB is a plugin that emulates Minetopia functionality. Key features include:

    • Customization: Adjustable chat (prefixes and levels), a fully customizable scoreboard (fitness, level, bank balance), and customizable system messages.
    • Economy & Interaction: ATM functionality (using Red Sandstone Stairs), trash cans (using Droppers), and vending machines (using Pistons) for purchasing goody bags with Lucky Shards.
    • Integration: Support for PlaceholderAPI (both external and built-in placeholders) and a dedicated Developer API.
    • Administration: Permission-based access for player and admin commands.
    • Gameplay Mechanics: Levelcheck NPCs for automatic level requests, detection gates to prevent illegal item smuggling, and PIN consoles for card payments.
    • Multi-server Support: BungeeCord functionality to distribute cities across multiple servers.
  3. View plot information

Use /plotinfo to view basic information about a plot. This command also allows access to the admin page.
    /plotinfo (Aliases: /pinfo, /pi) - Permission: minetopiasdb.plotinfo
  4. Set up and use Vendingmachines in MinetopiaSDB

Vendingmachines allow players to purchase three types of goodybags (Normal, Epic, and Legendary) using specific shards. To place a vendingmachine, place a piston and optionally place a barrier block on top of it.
  5. Configure Levelcheck NPC appearance and behavior

After spawning a levelcheck NPC, you must first select the NPC using /npc select. Once selected, you can modify the NPC's skin or force it to track nearby players.
    /npc select
    /npc skin <skin_name>
    /npc lookclose
  6. MinetopiaSDB system requirements and dependencies

As of MinetopiaSDB v2.7, Java 11 or higher is required. The plugin depends on several other plugins depending on your Minecraft version, including WorldEdit, WorldGuard, EssentialsX, Vault, and Citizens.
  7. Set up and manage Vending Machines in MinetopiaSDB

Vending machines allow players to purchase three types of goodybags (normal, epic, and legendary) using specific shards. To create a vending machine, place a piston in the world; you may optionally place a barrier block on top of the piston.
  8. Install and start MinetopiaSDB

To start MinetopiaSDB, download the plugin and all required dependencies, then place them in your server's plugins folder. After starting the server, you can add a world using the /mtworld add <WorldName> command.
  9. Process payments using pinconsoles

Pinconsoles (represented by 'purpur stairs') allow users to send and fulfill payment requests.

    1. Create Request: The sender uses /pin set to define the recipient and amount. If the sender has multiple bank accounts, they must specify the account ID.
    2. Trigger Request: After running the command, the sender must click on a pinconsole to send the request.
    3. Complete Payment: The recipient clicks the pinconsole using a bankcard (obtained via /ddgitems). This transfers funds from the recipient's account to the company's bank account.
    # Set up a payment request
    /pin set <Player> <Amount>

    # If the sender has multiple bank accounts, include the ID:
    /pin set <AccountID> <Player> <Amount>
  10. Display ranks in chat or tablist using LuckPerms

Since the /setrank command was removed in v2, use PlaceholderAPI to display LuckPerms ranks in the chat or tablist format.
    # 1. Install PlaceholderAPI plugin
    # 2. Download LuckPerms expansion
    /papi ecloud download LuckPerms
    # 3. Reload PAPI
    /papi reload

    # Use placeholder: %luckperms_prefix%

    # To change prefixes:
    /lp user <user> meta setprefix <prefix>
    /lp group <group> meta setprefix <prefix>
  11. Migrate MinetopiaSDB data from v1 to v2

MinetopiaSDB v2 switches to SQL (MySQL or SQLite) for data storage, meaning v1 data is incompatible. To migrate, you must have your v1 data converted to v2 data (available for a fee). Only player data is transferred; configuration and message files must be moved manually. Once converted, place the resulting Data.db file into the MinetopiaSDB folder. If you choose not to migrate, players will lose prefixes, levels, online time, and company accounts, but plots, inventories, and private accounts (stored by the server or other plugins) will be preserved.
