  1. Understand the Media page layout and metadata

    The Media page displays a file at full width and provides the following metadata below the media:

    • Title: The name of the media file.
    • File Details: Dimensions, format, and file size (e.g., 1429 × 636 — JPG 154.6 KB).
    • Upload Info: The category it belongs to, the upload timestamp, and the total view count.
    • Tags: Clickable pill chips that link to specific tag pages (visible only if tags are assigned).

  3. Understand Chevereto Album functionality

    An album is a user-level content container that groups media files into a named collection. Albums have their own public URLs, appear on user profiles, and support nested sub-albums. Privacy is managed at the album level; any media placed inside a private album automatically becomes private, as individual media files cannot be set to private independently.

  5. Edit tags for existing media

    To update or add tags to existing media, a user must be logged in. Navigate to the media page and click the 'Edit' button to open the edit form. Tags are managed in the 'Tags' field as a comma-separated list.

  6. Access and manage user notifications in Chevereto

    Notifications are located in the top bar of the interface, next to the user icon. A badge on the bell icon indicates the number of unread notifications. To view notifications, a user must be logged in and click the bell icon to open the notifications panel. Notifications are automatically marked as read upon opening the panel, and the badge count resets once all notifications have been viewed.

  8. Organize and modify album content

    Manage media within albums using the following operations:

    • Moving Content: Select items and use the 'Move to album' action (M shortcut) to transfer media or sub-albums to a different target album.
    • Setting Album Cover: Open the album, select a media item, and click the cover option in the media information section or use the H shortcut.
    • Deleting Albums: Select one or more albums from the album list and use the Del shortcut, or open a specific album and click the 'Delete' button.
    • Sorting: Media listings can be sorted by Most recent, Oldest, Most viewed, Most liked, or A-Z.

  9. Navigate to Chevereto account settings

    Account settings can be accessed via two primary methods:

    1. From any page: Click the User Icon in the top bar (requires login) and select 'Settings'.
    2. From the user profile: Click the 'Edit' button.

  10. Manage and access liked content in Chevereto

    The 'Liked' section serves as a personal collection of all media items and albums that a user has marked as favorites across the site.

    To access your liked content:

    1. Click the User Icon in the top bar (requires login) and select Liked.
    2. Alternatively, navigate directly to the URL: /{username}/liked.
