What's inside Taskade

  1. Overview of Taskade Genesis AI Capabilities

Taskade Genesis allows users to build AI apps and agents using two primary patterns: 'Vibe Coding' (natural language descriptions) and 'Agentic Engineering' (defining roles, knowledge, tools, and human review points). The platform operates on a 'Workspace DNA' architecture where Memory (stored in Projects) feeds Intelligence (AI Agents), which triggers Execution (Automations), which then writes results back to Memory.
  2. Develop with Taskade Genesis APIs and Tools

Taskade provides a suite of developer tools for programmatic workspace operation and AI agent integration. These include REST API v1 for general operations, Action API v2 for advanced actions, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) support via both hosted and local workspace implementations. Authentication is handled via OAuth 2.0, personal tokens, and signed webhooks.

  3. Taskade Genesis Platform Architecture

Taskade Genesis apps operate as a 'living system' based on three pillars:

    1. Memory (Projects): Structured databases that store context and data. Supports views like List, Board, Table, Mind Map, Docs, Gantt Chart, Calendar, Actionsheet, and Org Chart.
    2. Intelligence (AI Agents): Custom-trained agents with instructions, persistent memory, and custom commands.
    3. Execution (Automations): Event-driven or scheduled workflows with branching, loops, and 100+ integrations.
  4. Connect AI clients to Taskade via Hosted MCP

Taskade provides a hosted Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that allows AI clients (such as Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, Zed, or VS Code) to programmatically inspect spaces, read projects and tasks, interact with agents, and edit files within a Taskade Genesis app. The server uses OAuth 2.0 with PKCE. This feature is available on all paid plans; Free plan users do not have access. Permissions are role-based: 'Editor' (collaborator) or above is required for write tools, while 'Viewer' and 'Participant' are restricted to browsing.
