What's inside WiLine SD-WAN

  1. Overview of WiLine SD-WAN capabilities

WiLine SD-WAN is a Software-Defined WAN solution that intelligently routes traffic across fiber and rooftop wireless connections. It is designed to replace traditional MPLS complexity with a system that can be deployed in days, providing automatic failover and built-in edge security to ensure cloud apps, branch offices, and remote sites remain reliable.
  2. Overview of WiLine SASE Unified Platform

WiLine SASE is a unified SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) platform that consolidates SD-WAN and enterprise-grade security (SSE) into a single cloud-delivered solution. It is designed to replace legacy MPLS, standalone firewalls, and complex VPN setups for hybrid and distributed workforces. The platform combines two primary components: SD-WAN for resilient, intelligent connectivity and SSE (Secure Service Edge) for cloud-based firewalling, secure web access, and zero-trust protections.
  3. Integrate SD-WAN Portal alerts with external platforms via Webhooks

The SD-WAN Portal supports Webhook Integration to streamline communication with external notification platforms. This allows for real-time alerts and automated workflows based on system events. Supported platforms include Zabbix, PagerDuty, Slack, Telegram, and RocketChat.
  4. Use WiBot for instant WiLine SD-WAN assistance

WiBot is an instant-reply chat assistant available for questions about WiLine SD-WAN. It can be accessed via the chat widget located in the bottom-right corner of the page.
  5. Manage SD-WAN services via the Unified Global Visibility portal

WiLine has introduced a unified visibility model that aggregates data from all SD-WAN controllers into a single, centralized management portal. This removes the need to switch between controllers based on regional deployments or service classifications, providing a 'single pane of glass' for monitoring service health and status across the entire global footprint.
  6. Analyze network traffic with the Traffic Insights Page

The SD-WAN Portal now includes a Traffic Insights page that provides a detailed breakdown of network traffic, including usage insights for specific applications such as YouTube and AWS.
  7. Filter and refresh network overview results

You can customize the network data view using the following controls in the top-right corner:

    • Time Zone: Change the display time zone (e.g., UTC, PST, MST) via the Local Time icon.
    • Time Range:
      • Customize Dates: Set a specific 'From' and 'To' date/time.
      • Quick Ranges: Select presets like Last 15 Minutes, Last Hour, etc.
      • Preset: Define a custom duration (e.g., Last 2d 5h 2m).
    • Auto-refresh: Updates data automatically every 10 seconds (may extend to 60s depending on load).

Constraint: Auto-refresh only works with Last... presets. It is disabled for custom date ranges.

  8. Filter and export application data in the Network Overview table

Users can customize the Tabular Summary view in the Network Overview to isolate specific data or export reports using the following controls:

    1. Filter by Keywords: Click the Search icon next to the 'Name' header to find specific items.
    2. Customize Columns: Click the Settings icon to select or deselect which columns are displayed in the table.
    3. Export Data: Click the Download icon to export the current table data to a .CSV file.
    4. Print: Click the Print icon to print the current results.
    5. Refresh: If filtered results do not appear immediately, use the refresh icon located in the top-right corner.
  9. Access the Network Overview dashboard

To view the comprehensive overview of your network's performance and traffic details in the SD-WAN Portal, use one of the following methods:

    1. Log in to the SD-WAN Portal and click on an expanded service item from the services table.
    2. Navigate to Monitoring > Overview and select a specific service from the dropdown menu.
  10. Monitor network sites via Map Distribution

The Map Distribution panel provides a geographic overview of network sites. Pins on the map represent physical sites, with colors and numbers indicating their status:

    Pin Colors:

    • Blue: All sites at that location are ACTIVE.
    • Red: All sites are DOWN.
    • Orange: All sites are DEGRADED.
    • Mixed Colors (e.g., Purple, Dark Blue): The location contains multiple sites with different statuses (e.g., some ACTIVE and some DOWN).

    Pin Numbers:

    • A number on a pin indicates the quantity of sites grouped at that specific geographic location.

    Interacting with the Map:

    • Hovering over a grouped pin: Displays the number of sites, their current statuses (ACTIVE, DEGRADED, DOWN), and the city or region.
    • Hovering over a single site pin: Provides direct links to the Network Overview, Usage, and Link Statistics pages.
