  1. Overview of Current Scene Preview

    The Current Scene Preview feature allows users to read all furniture (models) and primary materials (textures) used in the current scene with one click and calculate the total price.

    Ducky Tools is a built-in collection of free utility functions within KeDaYa (可搭鸭) designed to streamline 3D modeling and scene management workflows.

  3. Use the integrated Ducky Toolset (鸭鸭工具集)

    The Ducky Toolset is a collection of free utility functions integrated into Okducky. These tools are also available as standalone plugins via the '可搭鸭Okducky' WeChat official account by replying with '鸭鸭助手'.

    Included tools:

    • Ducky Shovel (鸭铲): Penetrates groups/components to push/pull faces or offset lines.
    • Ducky Cut (鸭鸭切割): Quickly cuts selected objects by face or line.
    • Selection Stretch (框选拉伸): Penetrates groups/components to select points and stretch them.
    • Component Replacement (组件替换): Replaces one or multiple groups/components with a target component.
    • Ducky Brush (鸭刷): Quickly assigns, replaces, or rotates materials.
    • Paste CAD (粘贴CAD): Pastes content copied from CAD directly into the current scene.
    • Enscape Material Tool: Collects or repairs Enscape channel maps in one click.

  4. Understand OkDucky model library specifications

    The OkDucky model library provides over 40,000 interior soft-furnishing models. Key specifications include:

    • File Size: Optimized to be generally under 10MB (large items like sofas or beds are around 15MB).
    • Rendering: Full support for Enscape material properties; channel maps are preserved after loading.
    • Accuracy: Models are manually created 1:1 based on real-world products from various furniture brands.

  5. Use Inspiration Library Combinations

    The Inspiration Library allows users to upload and load combinations of multiple individual assets from Okducky to the cloud. Users can upload their own combinations or view combinations uploaded by others. Key capabilities include:

    • One-click reading of selected assets in a scene to upload combination data (real-time reading).
    • One-click loading of a full combination into the scene.
    • Ability to load individual assets from within a combination.

  6. System requirements for okducky

    okducky is compatible with Windows and macOS. It requires SketchUp version 2021 or higher, with optimal performance and experience found in SketchUp 2022 or 2024.

  7. Use the Ducky Shovel (鸭铲) for group penetration

    The Ducky Shovel tool allows users to penetrate groups and components to conveniently push/pull faces or offset lines without needing to manually enter the group hierarchy.

  8. Add official and custom items to a list

    Items can be added to a list via two methods:

    1. Official Items: Added from the OkDucky asset library. Items are displayed as a horizontal list of SKUs. Clicking the + button adds the item to the end of the currently selected space group.

    2. Custom Items: Create a blank item where all fields are editable. Editable fields include:

    • Space Group
    • Item Image (via paste or local upload)
    • Item Name, Brand, and Dimensions
    • Quantity and Unit Price
    • Purchase Link (creates a 'Buy' button in the list that redirects to the URL)
    • Remarks

    Additional Custom Item Tips:

    • Conversion: Official items can be converted into custom items.
    • SU Scene Integration: Right-click a component in a SketchUp (SU) scene and select 'Set as Custom Item' to add it to the list (automatically reads thumbnail and component name).
    • Visual Distinction: Official items have a green border; custom items have a purple border.

  9. Use Layout Mode for wall drawing

    Layout Mode (布局状态) assists in wall drawing by forcing the viewport into an orthographic (parallel projection) view and applying a specific SketchUp style. When enabled, the view automatically switches to the Top view.

    Layout Mode is automatically enabled when clicking the 'Straight Wall' button, any door/window button, or manually toggling the Layout Mode switch. It is disabled when switching to other functional pages or manually toggling the switch off.

  10. Manage color palettes in the Material Library

    The Color Card section of the Material Library includes the following features:

    • Official Recommendation: Filter to show practical color numbers recommended by Okducky.
    • Super Color Numbers: Filter to show colors with real-life wall-painting effect images. Users can also contribute by uploading their own real-life effect images via this channel.
    • Favorites: Users can favorite specific color numbers and use the 'Show Favorites Only' button to filter the view.

  11. Compatibility and System Requirements

    • SU 2025: Fully compatible. When used with D5 Render, materials support partial PBR and sync to D5.
    • SU 2021/2022: Supported. Note: In these versions, the 'Scale current axis only' feature in Quick Measure is triggered via Alt + Click.
    • Unsupported: Support for SU 2019 and SU 2020 has been completely removed.
    • OS: Fixed issues for systems below Windows 10; supports macOS (with specific fixes for Quick Measure crashes).
