  8. Configure the AI model for music generation

    • Bring Your Own Key (BYOK): When a user provides their own API key, it is stored in the browser's localStorage and sent as a credential to the provider's endpoint. If a proxy endpoint is used, the proxy also processes the request.

    Users are cautioned not to include passwords or personal information unrelated to music creation within AI prompts.

  10. Configure AI services and API Keys

    When generating or modifying music, context (prompts, code, tool results) is sent to the configured AI service. Supported providers include DeepSeek, Kimi (Moonshot), OpenAI, Anthropic, and GLM (智谱).

    • Official Channels: Requests are forwarded through oddeNova servers to DeepSeek.
    • Custom API Keys: Keys are stored in the browser's localStorage and sent as credentials to the API endpoint. If a proxy is used, the proxy also processes the request.
    • Security Warning: Do not include passwords, API keys, or sensitive personal information within the music creation prompts.

  11. Understand data storage and synchronization

    oddeNova uses a hybrid storage approach:

    • Local Storage: Browser history, working copies, sync state, and preferences are stored via IndexedDB or localStorage. Clearing browser site data removes local sign-in state and saved API keys.
    • Cloud Storage: Once signed in, sessions and favorites are synced to the cloud via Supabase.
    • Guest Mode: Using the service without signing in still sends requests to AI services or external resource providers when generating music or loading samples.

    oddeNova handles prompts, conversation messages, Strudel code, session titles, and favorites to enable music generation and playback.

    • Local Storage: Browser IndexedDB or localStorage is used for local history, working copies, and preferences.
    • Cloud Storage: Logged-in users can sync sessions and favorites to the cloud.
    • Guest Mode: Even when not logged in, requests for AI generation, public sharing, or external resources are sent to the respective service providers.
