What's inside Licentia NEXT

  1. Overview of Licentia NEXT modlist

Licentia NEXT is a 1-click install NSFW Skyrim Anniversary Edition Wabbajack modlist built around the Legacy of the Dragonborn expansion. It consists of over 1,600 curated mods designed to provide a stable, integrated experience featuring high-end graphics, overhauled combat, and extensive adult content without requiring manual conflict resolution.
  2. Understand BodySlide setup in Licentia NEXT

Licentia NEXT uses OBody NG, which shapes NPCs at runtime. To ensure OBody works correctly, all meshes must be built using 'neutral' (zeroed) presets. Building the list's outfits with a custom preset will interfere with OBody's functionality.

    Required Presets:

    • Female: CBBE 3BBB Body Amazing (use Zeroed Sliders)
    • Male: HIMBO Body - SOS High Poly Phys CBPC (use HIMBO Zero for OBody)

Output Structure: BodySlide outputs are split into four specific mods located at the bottom of the MO2 left pane:

    1. Licentia NEXT - BO 1 - 3BA - All (Female grouped outfits)
    2. Licentia NEXT - BO 2 - HIMBO - All (Male grouped outfits)
    3. Licentia NEXT - BO 3 - 3BA - Unassigned (Female unassigned outfits)
    4. Licentia NEXT - BO 4 - HIMBO - Unassigned (Male unassigned outfits)

Warning: Never manually add files to these four BO mods. BSBB wipes these mods during every rebuild, and any manual additions will be deleted.

  3. Execute and verify Pandora behavior generation

After selecting patches, click Launch Engine. Generation typically takes about 1 minute.

    Interpreting Logs:

    • Warnings: WARN : Validator > ... > Duplicate Event ... SKIPPED are normal and indicate the engine skipped a conflicting edit to prevent a broken file. This is acceptable.
    • Errors: Look for ERROR in the log; these indicate actual failures.
    • Log Location: The full log is located at Licentia NEXT - Pandora Output\Engine.log.
    • Active Mods: The list of ticked patches is saved to Licentia NEXT - Pandora Output\Pandora_Engine\ActiveMods.json.
    WARN : Validator > defaultfemale~1hm_behavior > Duplicate Event > Collision_Remove > Index > 488 > SKIPPED
  4. Configure and run DynDOLOD for Licentia NEXT

DynDOLOD generates the final LOD meshes and textures. This process typically takes about 50 minutes to run and an hour to generate.

    Execution Steps:

    1. Run DynDOLODx64 via the MO2 executable dropdown.
    2. In the Worldspaces box, right-click and select Select All.
    3. Enable Candles and FXGlow, select the High preset, and ensure the output path is set to the prepared output folder.

    • For the \ record: Set LOD Level 32 to Level0.
    • Final verification: tree should be Level0 -> Billboard4 -> Billboard1 -> Billboard6; \ should be Level0 -> Level1 -> Level2 -> Level0.

    Completion:

    • Once finished, select Save and Exit.
    • Disable the mod DynDOLod - Darken texture for generation - The good one last one in MO2.
  5. Set up a controller for Licentia NEXT

To configure a controller for Licentia NEXT, follow these steps:

    1. Turn on your controller.
    2. Open the game menu (Esc) and navigate to Mod Configuration.
    3. Locate and select MCM Recorder (listed alphabetically).
    4. Click Setup Controller and follow the on-screen instructions.

To revert controls back to the default Keyboard and Mouse setup, run the Revert Controller recording within the MCM Recorder menu.

  6. Maintain save game stability for Licentia NEXT

To prevent game-breaking bugs and instability in the Licentia NEXT modlist, users must manage their save files carefully. Avoid frequent saving, saving during combat, or continuously reloading upon death. The primary directive for a stable experience is to save the game no more frequently than every five minutes, and only during periods of 'low activity' (e.g., no NSFW scenes, no combat, and no major events occurring).
  7. Complete the Bandit Raid quest for Whiterun or other cities

The quest objective to keep the Guard Captain alive is optional. If the Guard Captain dies, the quest can still be completed, although you will not receive the city reward.
  8. Build custom outfits in BodySlide for Licentia NEXT

To add outfits from mods not included in the base list, use BodySlide via Mod Organizer 2 (MO2). To ensure compatibility with OBody, you must use 'zeroed' presets and enable morphs so that body shapes are applied dynamically in-game.

    Workflow:

    1. Launch BodySlide from the MO2 executables dropdown.
    2. Configure Game Path: If textures are missing, go to Settings in BodySlide and set the game data path to your Licentia NEXT Stock Game\Data folder (not the Steam install).
    3. Filter Outfits: Use the Filter Outfits search box to find the specific mod's slider sets.
    4. Select Body Type:
      • Female: Use CBBE 3BA (prefer 3BA over CBBE, and physics versions over no-physics).
      • Male: Use HIMBO.
      • Note: Outfits for UNP, BHUNP, or SOS/SAM Light are incompatible.
    5. Select Preset:
      • Female: - Zeroed Sliders -
      • Male: HIMBO Zero for OBody
    6. Build Process:
      • Tick Build Morphs (Required for OBody).
      • Hold Left CTRL and click Batch Build to specify the output destination.
      • Select your custom output mod folder located in the Licentia NEXT mods directory.
    7. Finalize: Close BodySlide, press F5 in MO2 to refresh, and ensure your output mod is enabled and positioned at the bottom of the load order.
  9. Manage Synthesis launch modes (MO2 vs Direct)

Synthesis has two distinct launch modes based on the task being performed. This is because building/compiling patchers is unreliable through MO2's virtual filesystem.

    • Adding, updating, or changing patcher versions: Launch tools\Synthesis\Synthesis.exe directly by double-clicking the file (outside of MO2).
    • Running patchers to generate .esp files: Launch Synthesis through Mod Organizer 2 (MO2).
  10. Patch Nemesis with Large Address Aware (LAA)

Because Nemesis is a 32-bit application, it is highly recommended to patch Nemesis Unlimited Behavior Engine.exe with Large Address Aware (LAA) to prevent crashes during behavior generation.

    1. Download and extract the Large Address Aware tool.
    2. Run Large Address Aware.exe.
    3. Click Add -> Files and navigate to Nemesis Unlimited Behavior Engine.exe in your MO2 mods folder (typically located in %your_LN_install_path%\mods\Project New Reign - Nemesis Unlimited Behavior Engine - BLACK Profile\Nemesis_Engine\).
    4. Select the checkbox next to the executable, open the With Selected menu, and click Force Large Address Aware.
    5. Verify that the LAA field on the right is set to True before closing the program.
  11. Configure system requirements and PC adjustments

Perform the following system adjustments to prevent crashes and installation errors:

    • Visual C++ Redistributables: Install Visual Studio 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022 (x64) for Mod Organizer 2 and mod compatibility.
    • Storage: Ensure at least 600 GB of free space on an SSD. The final installation takes ~450 GB, but temp files and caches require more during the process.
    • OneDrive: Completely disable or uninstall OneDrive, as it locks Skyrim configuration files and causes errors.
    • Pagefile: Set the Advanced Memory Pagefile minimum and maximum size to 40,960 MB (40 GB) on a Solid State Drive to prevent constant crashing.
  12. Generate Terrain LODs using xLODGen

Generate terrain LODs to avoid visual glitches after adding terrain or worldspace mods. This process requires specific mods to be disabled in MO2 to prevent conflicts and the 'xLODGen Resource - SSE Terrain Tamriel' mod to be enabled.
    MO2 Mods to DISABLE:
    - Licentia NEXT - xLODGen Output
    - Licentia NEXT - TexGen Output
    - Licentia NEXT - DynDOLOD Output
    - DynDOLOD FX Glow Accurate Disabler - Quality of Life
    - Grass Cache Helper NG
    - No Grass In Objects
    - Config INI - GrassControl.ini
    - Licentia NEXT - Grass Cache

    MO2 Mods to ENABLE:
    - xLODGen Resource - SSE Terrain Tamriel
