Overview of the qmbase Wiki for knowledge sharing
The WIKI provides a collaborative platform for employees to share specialized knowledge and co-create documentation. Key features include a structured release and versioning process where employees are automatically notified of new versions and old versions are archived. To ensure high discoverability of information, articles are categorized using keywords rather than a strict folder structure, distinguishing it from standard document management systems. Permission concepts for the Wiki are independent of those used in document management, allowing for more flexibility in knowledge documentation.Overview of qmBase and White Label Solutions
qmBase is a system that serves as the foundation for several white-label solutions. Documentation and guidance for qmBase are applicable to these white-label implementations, which include DocuPro, DSGVO protect, and imsBase.Overview of the Tasks and Qualifications app
The Tasks and Qualifications app (Talent Manager) is designed to manage organizational roles and employee capabilities. It allows users to create requirement profiles for positions and tasks, identify the most suitable employees for specific tasks, and track deadlines for recurring employee qualifications. The app integrates with and builds upon the 'Employees' (Mitarbeiter) app.Overview of qmbase Workflow Automations
Workflow Automations allow users to create reproducible, automated processes within the software. The system follows a logic flow: an action in the software triggers a check for a matching automation; if conditions are met, specific actions are executed, and the event is stored in the history. Automations can be created via Settings > General > Automations (Einstellungen > Allgemeine > Automatisierungen).Overview of the Idea Management process
The Idea Management app digitizes the corporate suggestion system through three primary phases:
- Generation and capture of new ideas.
- Acceptance of the idea and initial technical review.
- Implementation of the idea and tracking of progress.
Overview of qmBase quality assurance and testing
qmBase ensures software quality through a three-pronged approach:
- Automated Testing: Focused on core cross-functional features and reproducing user-reported bugs to prevent regressions. Testing is split into Frontend and Backend across three levels:
- End-to-End (E2E): Tests the User Interface (UI) and complete workflows.
- Integration Tests: Tests the interaction between multiple small units.
- Unit Tests: Tests the smallest possible units of software.
- Manual Testing: Performed by the internal test department and staff to cover edge cases and complex combinations that are difficult to automate.
- Telemetry and Feedback: Monitoring real-world usage data and ticket system feedback to identify performance bottlenecks and UI optimization needs based on actual customer data patterns.
