What's inside PriceWell

  1. Understand and use Add-ons in PriceWell

Add-ons are additional items (features, services, or other subscriptions) that customers can add to a primary subscription product during the Stripe Checkout process.

    Key behaviors:

    • Multiple add-ons can be attached to a single subscription.
    • If the primary subscription has a free trial, any subscription-based add-ons are included in that trial. However, one-time payment add-ons are charged immediately.
  2. Enable Live mode for the PriceWell Customer Portal

The Customer Portal's mode is dependent on its linked Pricing Page. To switch the Customer Portal to Live mode (so it searches for customers in Stripe's Live mode instead of Test mode), you must set the linked Pricing Page to Live mode using the orange toggle in the top-right corner of the Pricing Page editor.
  3. Implement Gated Content on a website

After configuring Gated Content in PriceWell, click the 'Snippet' button to generate a JavaScript snippet. This snippet must be added to the <head> tag of your website's HTML for restrictions to function.

    Access Workflow:

    1. When a user visits a restricted page, they are prompted for their email.
    2. PriceWell sends a secure link (valid for 24 hours) to that email.
    3. Access is granted if there is a matching Stripe customer (Live or Test account) with an active paid subscription (last invoice > $0).
    4. If no matching customer is found, the user is sent to the configured Unauthorized Redirect.
  4. Restrict Pory.io page access using PriceWell Gated Content

PriceWell's Gated Content feature can be used to restrict access to specific Pory pages based on Stripe subscription plans. The restriction snippet must be added globally to the Pory site settings to function across restricted URLs.

    Implementation Tips:

    • Use a consistent URL prefix for restricted pages (e.g., /members-home, /members-content) so you can apply a single restriction rule in PriceWell (e.g., starts with /members).
    • Ensure the Stripe products configured in Gated Content exactly match those used in the Pricing Table (e.g., both must use Test Mode if the pricing table does).
    1. Set up Gated Content rules in PriceWell and copy the provided snippet.
    2. In Pory, navigate to Settings -> Integrations -> Custom Code.
    3. Paste the snippet into the box and click 'Save Changes'.
    4. The snippet will now run on every page, but will only trigger restrictions on the URLs specified in PriceWell.
  5. Transfer a PriceWell account to a new owner

To transfer a PriceWell account to a new owner (e.g., after selling a business), follow these sequential steps:

    1. Stripe Account Creation: The new owner must create their own Stripe account to ensure a clean transfer of data.
    2. Connect Stripe to PriceWell: The new owner must connect their Stripe account to their PriceWell instance.
    3. Handle Paid Subscriptions: If the current account is a paid plan, the new owner must set up their own subscription before the transfer occurs.
    4. Migrate Products: Since Stripe is the source of truth for products, the new owner must copy products from the old Stripe account to the new one. This requires contacting Stripe support.
    5. Finalize Transfer: Contact PriceWell support to execute the account transfer.
  6. Use Custom Button Links for landing page registration

If you want to show pricing on a landing page but require users to register before paying, use the Custom Button Link feature in the Pricing Table component.

By adding a URL (e.g., https://yoursite.com/register) to the Custom Button Link field, all buttons on the pricing page will act as links to that URL instead of initiating the Stripe checkout process.

  7. Restrict access to Duda pages using PriceWell Gated Content

PriceWell's Gated Content feature allows you to restrict Duda pages based on Stripe subscription plans. After configuring the gated content rules in PriceWell, copy the generated snippet. In Duda, navigate to 'SEO & Settings' -> 'Head HTML' -> 'Head HTML' and paste the snippet into the box. Save and republish the site. The snippet will be present on all pages but will only trigger restrictions on the specific URLs defined in PriceWell.

    Best Practices:

    • Use a consistent URL prefix for restricted pages (e.g., /members-home, /members-content) so you can apply a single 'starts with' restriction (e.g., /members) in PriceWell.
    • Ensure the Stripe products used for Gated Content exactly match those used in the Pricing Table, including the use of Stripe test mode vs. live mode.
  8. Connect a Stripe account to PriceWell

To enable subscription billing in PriceWell, you must connect a Stripe account. If you do not have a Stripe account, you can create one during the connection process.

    Steps to connect:

    1. Register for a PriceWell account at https://app.pricewell.io/register.
    2. In the PriceWell dashboard, click the "Connect Stripe" button.
    3. You will be redirected to stripe.com to either sign in to an existing account or create a new one.
    4. Provide basic business details (name, address, etc.) to complete the Stripe setup; additional details can be provided later via Stripe's email prompts.
    5. Once connected, you will be redirected back to the PriceWell dashboard.
  9. Create a website from Notion using Super.so

To turn a Notion page into a functional website using Super.so:

    1. Select a template in Super.so (e.g., a landing page) and click 'Duplicate'.
    2. Follow the prompts to locate the Notion document and click 'Duplicate' within Notion to create a copy in your own workspace.
    3. In Notion, click 'Share' in the top right corner and enable 'Share to web'.
    4. Copy the public URL of the Notion page.
    5. Return to Super.so, click 'New Site', and paste the public Notion URL.
  10. Embed PriceWell pricing pages into Notion via Super.so

To display a PriceWell pricing page on a Super.so site, embed the snippet directly into the Notion page rather than the Super.so global code settings:

    1. Copy the pricing page snippet from the PriceWell app.
    2. In the Notion page, type /code to create a code block.
    3. Set the code block language to JavaScript.
    4. Paste the PriceWell snippet into the block.
    5. Critical: To ensure Super.so renders the custom code, you must prepend super-embed before the pasted snippet within the Notion code block.
  11. Locate a Stripe Invoice ID in the Stripe Dashboard

To find a Stripe Invoice ID:

    1. Navigate to the Stripe Invoices Dashboard: Live Mode or Test Mode.
    2. Use the filters to locate the specific payment.
    3. Click on the payment to open the details page.
    4. The Invoice ID is located at the top-right of the page; click it to copy the ID.
