What's inside mTime

  1. Overview of mTime workforce management system

mTime is a time registration and workforce management system designed for companies. It supports three primary user roles:

    • Employees: Register working hours and absences.
    • Managers: Approve timesheets and time-off requests.
    • Administrators: Configure working-time rules, allowances, and payroll exports, and manage integrations with HR, calendar, and identity systems.
  2. Utilize Advanced Reporting and Presets

    New reporting capabilities include:

    • Sickness Report: Tracks KPIs such as absence rate, spell frequency, average duration, and the Bradford Factor.
    • Absence Overview: Provides a daily, weekly, or monthly view of how many employees are absent across all time-off types.
    • Report Presets: Users can save specific views (filters, grouping, unit, and period) as named presets. These can be starred for quick access or shared by role. Relative periods are preserved in presets.
  3. Manage Time Off and Vacation Planning

mTIME has updated its time-off capabilities with the following features:

    • Year Overview: A dedicated page showing bookable days month-by-month for the next year across all accounts.
    • Split Requests: Employees can request a total number of days that exceeds a single account balance; mTIME will propose a split across multiple accounts as a single request for approval.
    • Danish Care Days: Automatic accrual of 'omsorgsdage' per child per year based on employee master data.
    • Flexible Range Editing: Users can remove specific working days from a drawn date range in new or existing requests, returning those days to the balance.
    • Extended Planning: The planner now supports a sixteen-month window.
  4. Manage automated tasks via Background Jobs

The admin section includes a Jobs page to monitor and manage automated tasks. Key automated functions include:

    • Auto-provisioning: Automatic account setup on employee start dates and offboarding upon departure.
    • Workspace Cleanup: Automatic deletion of deactivated workspaces after 30 days.
    • Job History: Tracking of execution times, results, and errors.
    • Manual Triggers: Ability to run specific jobs on demand.
  5. Use mTime UI shortcuts and navigation improvements

    Recent UI updates include:

    • Table Search: Press ⌘F / Ctrl+F or / to search within tables (overriding the browser's default search). Press Escape to clear the search.
    • Persistent Filters: Table filter selections are preserved when navigating away and returning to the page.
    • Layout: Settings and configuration pages now use a full-width section layout instead of accordions.
  6. Manage users, service accounts, and version history

    User management features include:

    • Preferred Names: The 'call name' field is renamed to 'preferred name' and is now required during account creation.
    • Activity Tracking: Monitoring of the last active timestamp for users, API keys, and kiosks.
    • Service Accounts: Creation of dedicated service users with API keys for integrations and automated systems.
    • Version History: Tracking changes to employment terms, time off policies, and allowance policies via the history button during editing.
  7. Import and Export Workspace Configuration

Administrators can export and import workspace configuration independently from employee data. This is intended for backups or when setting up new workspaces.
  8. Create additional workspaces

Workspace owners can create additional workspaces directly within the application. This feature is intended for managing multiple distinct business entities or establishing dedicated test environments.
  9. Manage time-off notifications

Managers receive notifications in the top navigation bar's notification bell for time-off workflow events, specifically for new approval requests submitted by employees and reminders for pending requests that have not yet been actioned.
  10. Manage pending user invitations and auto-provisioning

Administrators can resend invitations to all pending users or specifically to those whose invitations have expired. When enabling auto-provisioning, the system now provides a preview of the exact number of employees that will be invited before the action is committed.
  11. Manage approvals via the Centralized Approvals Inbox

Managers can triage timesheets and time-off requests from a single unified queue located at Team › Approvals. The inbox allows for batch approvals of multiple items, keyboard-based navigation for routine triage, and filtering by type, status, org unit, and manager.
  12. Integrate mTime with Intega HR

The Intega HR integration allows for scheduled or on-demand syncing of employee names, contact details, and employment data. It uses Intega's customer and employer identifiers for multi-tenant mapping. Workspaces can optionally disable org-unit syncing while keeping employee sync active.
