What's inside eventOne

  1. Configure the mobile app navigation menu in Event1

The App Settings section of the event dashboard allows you to customize the mobile app's navigation menu. By default, the app includes a standard set of menu items: Schedule, Speakers, Exhibitors, Sponsors, Maps, Inbox, and About.

Crucial Behavior: Adding any custom menu item completely replaces the default menu. To maintain standard functionality (like the Inbox or Schedule), you must manually re-add those items to your custom configuration.

  2. Restore default mobile app menu settings

To revert to the default menu (Schedule, Speakers, Exhibitors, Sponsors, Maps, Inbox, and About), remove all custom menu items from the configuration tool. The default menu will reappear automatically once the custom list is empty.
  3. Use Kiosk Mode to lock the eventOne app to the Sell page

Kiosk Mode locks the app to the Sell page, disables all menu items, and prevents users from switching between events. This is primarily used for Registration Kiosks to ensure attendees cannot access the Guest List or change application settings. Kiosk Mode persists even after the app is restarted.
  4. Set up a Passkey for 2FA

Passkeys use device biometrics or hardware security keys and are tied to the specific device and browser where they were created. To set one up:

    1. Go to User Settings → Two-Factor Authentication → '+ Add a 2FA Method' → select 'Passkey'.
    2. (Optional) Enter a label for the device (e.g., 'MacBook Touch ID').
    3. Click 'Register Passkey' and follow the browser prompts.
    4. Save the recovery codes provided immediately after enrollment.
  5. Set up SMS for 2FA

To set up SMS as a 2FA method:

    1. Go to User Settings → Two-Factor Authentication → '+ Add a 2FA Method' → select 'SMS'.
    2. Enter your mobile phone number including the country code (e.g., +1 555 000 0000).
    3. Click 'Send Code' and enter the 6-digit code received via SMS.
    4. Click 'Verify' and save the recovery codes provided.
  6. Join the eventOne referral program

You can earn a 25% commission on the first invoice for paying customers referred to eventOne. To participate, sign up by sending an email to the eventOne team to receive a unique referral link for sharing on blogs, podcasts, social media, or newsletters.
  7. Export event data from eventOne

To export data from an event in eventOne, navigate to the specific event and use the Settings menu to trigger a data export. Once the export process is complete (which may take a few minutes), a download URL will be sent to your registered email address.

    Step-by-step process:

    1. Open the desired event in eventOne.
    2. Navigate to Settings > Reports > Export in the left-hand navigation menu.
    3. Select the specific types of data required for the export.
    4. Click the Export button.
  8. Manage and regenerate 2FA recovery codes

Recovery codes are one-time use codes generated when the first 2FA method is enrolled. They are essential for regaining account access if a device is lost.

    • Regenerating Codes: Go to User Settings → Two-Factor Authentication → 'Regenerate Recovery Codes'. Note that regenerating codes immediately invalidates all previous codes.
    • Low-code Warning: A warning banner appears on the User Settings page when fewer than 3 unused recovery codes remain.
  9. Access the Guest List in the Onsite app

The Guest List provides a comprehensive view of all registered attendees for an event. Attendees who have already been checked in are identified by a green checkbox.

    To access the list:

    1. Open the On-site app and select your event.
    2. Navigate to the Guest List page via the menu (this is typically the default page upon opening an event).
  10. Invite eventOne to your Apple Developer account for app submission

To allow eventOne to submit and manage your event app, you must invite them as an Admin to your App Store Connect account. This role is required for the publishing process.

    Steps to invite eventOne:

    1. Log in to App Store Connect using your Apple ID.
    2. Navigate to the "Users and Access" section.
    3. Click the add user '+' sign.
    4. Enter the user details:
    5. Assign the Admin role by checking the corresponding box.
    6. Click Invite.
  11. Monitor organization admin 2FA status

Organization owners and admins can monitor the security status of other admins:

    1. Navigate to Organization → Settings → Admins.
    2. Check the badge for each admin: 2FA Enabled (green) or 2FA Disabled (grey).

Note: Admins must enroll themselves via their own User Settings; an owner cannot enable 2FA on behalf of another user.
