What's inside CommKing
- The CKFI-1 is a non-intrusive fiber identifier used to identify target fibers and determine signal direction and strength without interrupting existing communication services. It supports both single-mode and multi-mode fibers and can recognize modulated signals at 270 Hz, 1 kHz, and 2 kHz. It is primarily used for fiber maintenance, installation, cabling, and fault recovery.

It features a full metal body, a constant temperature control system for rapid stripping, and a wide-limit ribbon blade capable of stripping multiple fibers simultaneously. It is compatible with bare fibers, ribbon fibers, and pigtails.CKOT-2 Series Hardware Interface Overview
The CKOT-2 series instrument features several physical interfaces for different testing modalities:
Top Interfaces:
- OTDR / LS: Used for OTDR testing or stable light source output.
- OPM: Optical Power Meter interface for power measurement.
- VFL: Visual Fault Locator interface (outputs 650nm red light).
- Flashlight: For field illumination.
Left Side Interfaces:
- Micro USB: Used for charging, PC connection, and data copying.
- LED Indicator: Displays charging status.
- TF (Micro SD) Slot: For storing test data.
Right and Bottom Interfaces:

CK6183 Variable Optical Attenuator Overview
The CK6183 is a handheld variable optical attenuator used for continuous variable attenuation of optical signals in fiber communication systems. It supports attenuation ranges of either 0 dB - 30 dB or 0 dB - 60 dB with a resolution of 0.1 dB. It features FC/UPC universal interfaces (with SC adapters) and supports five common working wavelengths: 1310 nm, 1490 nm, 1550 nm, 1625 nm, and 1650 nm.Understand CommKing product documentation structure

- PoE voltage, wiring sequence, and power output testing.
- Network diagnostics (Scanning, PING, DHCP, Port flashing).
- Cable testing (Continuity, sequence, length, TDR breakpoint detection).
- Optical power measurement and red light fault location.
- RS485 serial data transmission.
- Documentation via photos, videos, and test reports.
CK6105 Optical Multimeter Overview
The CK6105 is an integrated optical tool combining a stable light source, an optical power meter, and an optional visual red light source. It is used for continuous optical signal power measurement, fiber line continuity testing, fault troubleshooting, and loss testing in scenarios such as fiber construction, maintenance, communication, sensing, and CATV.CKNCT-1 Network Cable Tracer Overview
The CKNCT-1 is a digital network cable tracer used for general cable tracing, switch tracing, and network cable continuity/sequence testing. It features anti-interference, noise-free signals, and is suitable for communication line installation, integrated wiring, and network troubleshooting.CKOT-1A Main Menu Function Overview
The CKOT-1A integrates multiple fiber optic diagnostic tools accessible from the main menu:
- OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer): Measures fiber link length, loss, reflections, and event points.
- LS (Light Source): Outputs a stable light source.
- VFL (Visual Fault Locator): Uses red light for short-distance fault localization.
- OPM (Optical Power Meter): Measures optical power (supports dB, dBm, and mW).
- Event Map: Graphically displays link events.
- Fault Locator: Quickly locates fiber fault points.
- End-face Detection: (Optional) Checks the quality of the fiber end-face.
- Optical Loss Test: Performs insertion loss tests using the light source and power meter.
- System: Device system settings.
Test Fiber Optic Loss using Light Source and Power Meter
To measure the loss of a fiber segment:
- Power on the light source and power meter; preheat both for 5 minutes.
- Connect the light source and power meter using a standard patch cord.
- Set both devices to the same wavelength (e.g., 1310nm) and press the dB button on the power meter.
- Connect one end of the fiber under test to the light source (via flange/patch cord) and the other end to the power meter.
- Record the displayed dB value as P1; this is the loss of the fiber segment.
- Repeat for other wavelengths (e.g., 1550nm) if necessary.
Notes:
- Wavelengths must match on both devices.
- Keep equipment stationary during testing.
- Average loss calculation: $P_{avg} = P1 \div \text{fiber length}$.
- Standard loss references: ~0.35dB/km for 1310nm and ~0.2dB/km for 1550nm.
CKIPC Interface and Port Guide

- Ensure device power specifications match before using PoE or DC power outputs.
Check Battery Levels on CKNCT-1
Battery levels are displayed for approximately 1.5 seconds after powering on:
- Transmitter: Toggle the function selection switch to trigger the battery indicator.
- Receiver: Turn on the LED lighting switch to trigger the battery indicator.
- Low Battery: If the "25%" indicator flashes regularly, the device requires charging.
