What's inside Viewpoint

  1. Overview of Viewpoint partner communication platform

Viewpoint is a communication tool designed for the indirect channel to automate the distribution of personalized messaging to partners. It uses matchmaking technology to ensure the right content reaches the right partner at the optimal time, reducing the manual effort required by vendors to create bespoke messaging for every partner while optimizing overall engagement.
  2. Understand the Subscriber Homepage layout

The Homepage is the primary landing page for both administrators and subscribers upon login. It displays a comprehensive, unlimited list of all published content available to the user.
  3. Filter published content on the Subscriber Homepage

Users can narrow down the list of published content by using the filter dropdown lists located in the header section of the Homepage. Selecting an option from these dropdowns applies the corresponding filter to the content list.
  4. Review and approve content for publication

To approve content created via the WYSIWYG editor, navigate to the Admin Menu and select Content > Content to Approve. This displays a list of all articles awaiting approval. To review a specific piece of content, click the pencil icon associated with that article and verify the content, tags, and options.
  5. Set an expiration date for content visibility

Use the 'Expiry date' option to ensure content is automatically hidden from Viewpoint after a specific date and time.

Steps to set an expiry date:

    1. Create or Curate your content as usual, but do not click the Submit for Approval or Publish button yet.
    2. Click the clock icon located to the right of the Submit for Approval / Publish button.
    3. Check the Set Expiry Date checkbox.
    4. Select the date and time when the content should expire and become invisible.
    5. Click Submit for Approval or Publish.
  6. Enable or disable Push notifications

Push notifications are sent immediately upon content publication to both mobile and desktop devices. To toggle this feature, use the 'Enable/Disable Push messaging on this device' button within the Preference Center.
  7. Change your account password

To change your password, navigate to the 'Your Profile' page. You are required to provide your current (old) password, enter a new password, confirm the new password, and then click 'Save'.
  8. Publish or submit content for approval

After completing the content and options, use the action button at the bottom of the page. The button is dynamic: it will display Publish if the article is marked as 'Approved', or Submit for Approval if it is not.
  9. Add a YouTube channel source

Adding YouTube sources cannot be done by the user via the admin panel. To add a YouTube channel, you must contact the Viewpoint support team and provide the URL of the YouTube channel you wish to aggregate.
  10. Add a new RSS feed source

To automatically aggregate content from an RSS feed, follow these steps in the Admin Menu:

    1. Navigate to Content > Aggregate > Add Feed.
    2. Enter a friendly name in the label field (this is for internal identification and is not visible to subscribers).
    3. Enter the RSS feed URL and click Validate to ensure the feed is compatible.
    4. In the Post stories to dropdown, select the target content types.
    5. Optional: Check the Auto publish box if content should be published immediately upon being added without requiring manual approval.
