website·Indexed 33 days ago
https://docs.unopim.comDocumentation for UnoPim 3.0, a Product Information Management (PIM) system. Features include product type management (Simple and Configurable), attribute and category configuration, data import/export, and Agentic PIM capabilities via Magic AI for content generation, enrichment, and translation using LLMs like OpenAI, Anthropic, and Gemini.
What's inside UnoPim
- The Dashboard is the landing page after login, designed to provide an immediate snapshot of the system's state. It is read-heavy and reports on four key areas: catalog size (via Catalog Overview and Structure), data health (via Needs Attention, Completeness, and Channel Readiness), team activity (via Product Statistics, Activity charts, and Recent Activity), and immediate next steps (via Welcome Banner and Data Transfer panel). All counts and charts are computed on page load to reflect the current database state.
Overview of Magic AI capabilities
Magic AI is UnoPim's AI content layer that provides five primary surfaces within the admin UI:
- Text Generation: Use the wand icon on text fields to generate names, descriptions, and SEO meta fields.
- Image Generation: Use the wand icon on image/gallery fields to create product imagery from text descriptions.
- Auto-translation: Automatically translates values for target locales upon product save or via bulk command.
- AI-Powered Search: Provides semantic search results ranked by meaning rather than just keywords.
- AI Agent Chat (Agentic PIM): A chat assistant capable of executing 30+ tool calls via a bottom-right chat button.
Overview of the AI Agent (Agentic PIM)
The AI Agent (also known as Agentic PIM) is a conversational assistant integrated into UnoPim. Unlike 'Magic AI' (which focuses on content generation for single fields), the AI Agent takes actions across the entire catalog. It translates plain language instructions into real PIM operations, such as creating SKUs, searching for missing data, or performing bulk edits. It is accessed via the chat button at the bottom-right of any page.Overview of Magic AI capabilities in UnoPim
Magic AI is a built-in layer that connects UnoPim to external Large Language Models (LLMs) like OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Ollama, and Groq. It provides four primary capabilities across the PIM:
- Text generation: Accessible via wand icons next to product/category text fields for writing names, descriptions, and SEO meta fields.
- Image generation: Accessible via wand icons next to image/gallery attributes to create imagery from text.
- Translation: Automatic translation of locale-specific values upon product save or via bulk commands.
- Agentic PIM (AI Agent Chat): A conversational assistant (bottom-right "Open Agenting PIM" button) that can execute over 30 PIM tools.
Overview of Digital Product Passport Templates
A passport template defines the structure and content of a Digital Product Passport. Templates are managed as data within the admin interface rather than through code migrations. They are located under Catalog → Passports → Templates.
Key components of a template include:
- Code: A unique identifier for the template in published data (read-only after creation).
- Applies To: The attribute families associated with the template. Each family can belong to only one template.
- Sections: Logical groupings of fields (e.g., Materials, Circularity, Compliance) that determine the layout of the public page.
- Fields: Individual data rows displayed on the passport.
Overview of Agentic PIM capabilities
Agentic PIM is UnoPim's AI framework that manages autonomous and semi-autonomous workflows. It consists of four primary AI workers that share a unified platform, model, prompt, and token budget:
- AI Agent Chat: A floating chat panel (star icon) that uses 30+ PIM tools to execute user instructions.
- Auto-Enrichment: A background job that automatically fills missing product fields (e.g., descriptions, SEO metadata) upon product creation.
- Catalog Quality Monitor: A scheduled background scan that identifies thin or inconsistent data and flags it in the "Needs Attention" section of the Dashboard.
- Approval Queue: A safety layer that holds or applies AI-proposed changes based on configured confidence thresholds and approval modes.
Overview of AI Agent Chat in UnoPim
The AI Agent Chat is a conversational UI for Agentic PIM that serves as a single entry point for over 30 PIM tools. It allows users to manage products, categories, attributes, data quality, and bulk operations by describing needs in natural language. The agent interprets intent, selects the appropriate tools, executes them within the user's ACL permissions, and streams results back in real time. It can chain multiple steps into a single request to reduce manual clicks in the admin UI.Overview of Microsoft SSO in UnoPim
Microsoft SSO allows team members to sign in to UnoPim using their existing Microsoft work accounts. When enabled, a 'Sign in with Microsoft' button appears on the login page. This system handles authentication (confirming identity) but not authorization; users must have a corresponding UnoPim account with the same email address and an assigned role to gain access.Overview of Digital Product Passports in UnoPim
A Digital Product Passport (DPP) is a public-facing page for a product, accessible via QR code, that displays data for regulators, recyclers, or customers. UnoPim generates these pages using existing product data, eliminating the need for manual data re-entry. Key capabilities include:
- Passport Templates: Define sections, fields, attribute mappings, visibility, and mandatory requirements.
- Public Passport Page: Provides a permanent URL per product and language, a QR code, and a machine-readable version.
- Publish Control: Prevents a passport from going live in a specific language if mandatory fields are empty.
- Version History: Maintains a record of all published versions, allowing for audits, withdrawals, or restorations.
Understand the relationship between Profiles and the Job Tracker
In UnoPim, Import and Export pages are used to define reusable configuration profiles (specifying codes, types, files, and strategies). The Job Tracker is used to monitor the actual execution runs produced by those profiles, providing visibility into status, progress, logs, and artifacts.AI Agent safety controls overview
The Approval Queue is part of a four-layer defense-in-depth model for the AI Agent:
Safeguard Configuration Path Purpose ACL permissions Settings → Roles Prevents agent from performing actions the user role cannot do. Daily Token Budget Magic AI → Settings → Agentic PIM Limits total daily AI spend. Max Agent Steps Per Turn Magic AI → Settings → Agentic PIM Limits the number of tools a single message can chain. Approval Queue & Thresholds Magic AI → Settings → Agentic PIM Holds risky or low-confidence writes for review. Understand the AI Agent Approval Queue
The Approval Queue acts as a safety net for writes originating from the AI Agent (e.g., changes to descriptions, prices, or categories). It intercepts proposed changes, provides a side-by-side diff of current vs. proposed values, and allows administrators to approve or reject changes. Changes made directly by admins via the UI bypass this queue. Once approved, changes follow the standard audit/history trail.
