What's inside TimeTracker

  1. Overview of the Project Summary widget

The Project Summary widget allows users to view the status of managed projects in a consolidated list on the dashboard. It is designed for quick checks during specific timings, such as when launching TimeTracker RX. Key interactions include copying selected projects to the clipboard for use in other reports and jumping directly to a project's Gantt table screen.
  2. Overview of Pivot Analysis in TimeTracker RX

Pivot Analysis allows users to aggregate data such as man-hours and costs across projects and organizations. It provides a flexible way to analyze data by changing the aggregation axes (rows and columns) instantly. Common use cases include:

    • Analyzing monthly man-hours and cost budgets vs. actuals for organization members.
    • Drilling down into member-specific project breakdowns.
    • Aggregating man-hours and costs at the project item level.

Note: This feature is not available in the Standard Edition.

  3. Overview of Resource Planning in Business Plan

The Resource Planning (配員計画) feature extends traditional man-hour and project management by allowing users to plan personnel assignments before a project begins. It enables managers to determine who is involved in which project and when, helping to identify resource shortages or surpluses. When combined with actual man-hour data, it allows for the visualization of personnel placement across business and organizational units and the identification of gaps between planned and actual resource allocations.
  4. Overview of TimeTracker RX features and capabilities

TimeTracker RX is a project and work hour management tool designed to visualize project site conditions to support improvement activities. Key capabilities include:

    • Work Hour Visualization: Detailed tracking of business and project work time to identify inefficiencies, waste, and inconsistencies.
    • Low-Burden Data Entry: Uses simple drag-and-drop operations to ensure high-accuracy work hour data collection with minimal user effort.
    • Project Management: Provides intuitive scheduling, progress visualization for tasks, and process-based analysis of work hours.
    • Integration: Supports integration with Excel spreadsheets to adapt to existing on-site practices and ensure smooth implementation.
  5. Overview of the Time Input Monitor widget

The Time Input Monitor widget tracks actual time input status by displaying daily actual time for users in a list. It is used to identify missed time inputs or users with unusually high/low actual time inputs. Key features include:

    • Visual highlighting of high and low actual time inputs.
    • Quick navigation: Double-clicking a user's name opens their timesheet screen.
    • Data export: Ability to select and retrieve data in TSV format.
  6. Overview of the Analysis screen capabilities

The Analysis screen allows users to monitor progress, resource loads, and perform man-hour and cost analysis (pivot analysis) across multiple projects. It is designed for company-wide or organization-wide visibility, enabling users to track progress and aggregate data across different projects and organizational units.
  7. Overview of the TimeTracker Excel Integration Add-in

The TimeTracker Excel Integration Add-in allows users to synchronize project information between TimeTracker and Excel spreadsheets. It enables users to import TimeTracker data into existing Excel formats and reflect actual progress from Excel back into TimeTracker.

Note: This feature is not available in the Standard Edition.

  8. Overview of Business management in TimeTracker RX

In TimeTracker RX, 'Business' (業務) entities are used to manage the information necessary for overseeing specific tasks, primarily focusing on resource allocation planning (配員計画). Businesses are organized within 'Business Groups' which are themselves part of a 'Yearly Plan'. Data defined in a Business entity is used to reflect data in TimeTracker RX and to compare planned values against actual results.
  9. Overview of Quick Reports

Quick Reports are used to analyze man-hour data through two different types of reports:

    • Built-in Reports: Ready-to-use reports that use pre-defined aggregation axes (e.g., "Projects with High Man-Hours").
    • Custom Reports: User-defined reports where you set specific aggregation groups to analyze man-hours based on custom characteristics (e.g., "interruption work"). Multiple custom reports can be created for different purposes.
  10. Overview of TimeTracker Reporting

TimeTracker Reporting is a desktop application for users with annual license contracts. It delivers summarized reports to the Windows Action Center at scheduled times every morning based on TimeTracker RX data. It provides two types of reports:

    • Periodic Reports: Summarized information at daily, weekly, or monthly intervals.
    • Follow-up Reports: Alerts for critical points such as delayed projects, missing man-hour entries, or overloaded users.
  11. Overview of Item Reports

Item Reports allow for the analysis of progress and man-hour status for any specified range of a project. By using graphs and widgets, users can visually verify the ratio of man-hours per activity in specific processes to ensure quality, and monitor the consumption status of work items to track progress. Note: This feature is not available in the Standard Edition.
