What's inside Suggestions.gg

  1. Manage the suggestions queue

Staff can use the /queue command to either view the current list of suggestions in the queue or get general information about the guild's queue status.
    /queue <info|view>

    # View the queue
    /queue view

    # View queue info
    /queue info
  2. Understand Suggestion IDs (sID)

Every suggestion is assigned a unique Suggestion ID (sID), which is required to manage, resolve, or clear that suggestion. The sID can be found in two places: in the footer of the suggestion message in the suggestions channel, or in the confirmation message the bot sends to the user after a suggestion is submitted. The bot provides autocomplete for sIDs when typing commands.
  3. Check bot status and version with /stats

The /stats command displays technical information about the bot, including the number of servers it is currently in, uptime, bot version, and library version.
    /stats
  4. Manage User Premium subscriptions

Introduced in Version 4.4, User Premium allows users to subscribe to receive notifications specifically when suggestions they have voted on are resolved.
  5. Manage suggestions using bot commands

The bot is designed for simple usage, allowing users to create and manage suggestions directly through bot commands within the server.
  6. Customize suggestion thread names and resolution links

As of Version 4.1, the bot supports custom thread names for suggestions. Additionally, resolved suggestions now include a link back to the initial suggestion thread.
  7. Manage suggestions using the Virtual Queue

In Virtual Queue mode, queued suggestions do not have a permanent channel presence. They are only sent to a channel once they are approved or rejected. Moderators interact with the queue using specific commands to cycle through and moderate pending suggestions.
/queue info # Check queue status and count
/queue view # View and moderate active suggestions
  8. Access Suggestions bot context menu commands

To perform actions on a suggestion via the Discord context menu, right-click or long-press the suggestion message and navigate to the 'Apps' sub-menu. To see these options, you must have the Send Messages permission in the current channel.
  9. Add and manage notes on suggestions

Users and moderators can add notes to suggestions. Notes support the use of newline characters (\n) for better formatting. Moderator notes are also added to resolved suggestions.
  10. Moderate suggestions via the /queue view command

The /queue view command allows moderators to cycle through pending suggestions. Use the following button actions to manage the queue:

    • ⬅️: Go to the previous suggestion
    • ➡️: Go to the next suggestion
    • ⏹️: Cancel the queue view
    • ✅ (Upvote emoji): Approve the suggestion and forward it to the public voting channel
    • ❌ (Downvote emoji): Reject the suggestion and remove it from the queue
    /queue view
  11. Configure personal bot preferences via /user configure

Users can customize their individual experience with the bot by using the /user configure command. Note that if a server (guild) has explicitly disabled a specific setting, the individual user configuration for that setting will be overridden by the server's restriction.
    /user configure
