What's inside INTERGRID Configurator

  1. Overview of INTERGRID Configurator capabilities

INTERGRID Configurator is a browser-based tool used to manage SIGSA devices, including electronic speed controllers (ESCs), emergency vehicle lighting (EVL) systems, and emergency vehicle control systems (EVCS). It allows users to connect via USB to perform the following tasks:

    • Adjust device settings through a grouped interface.
    • Update firmware using local files or the built-in firmware library.
    • Export and import device configurations using .itgcfg files.
    • Manage multiple devices connected through a controller in a single session.
  2. Overview of INTERGRID Configurator

INTERGRID Configurator is a browser-based tool used to manage SIGSA devices, including electronic speed controllers (ESCs), emergency vehicle lighting (EVL) systems, and emergency vehicle control systems (EVCS). It allows users to connect devices via USB to adjust settings, update firmware, and manage configurations without requiring local software installation.
  3. Navigate the INTERGRID Configurator interface

The INTERGRID Configurator uses a sidebar navigation system with the following sections:

    • Home: Displays app status and an overview of connected devices.
    • Device: The primary workspace for viewing device information, adjusting settings, and managing firmware.
    • Firmware: A searchable library of available firmware updates.
    • Settings: App preferences, including language and debug tools.
    • Help: Versioning, contact information, and credits.
  4. Navigate the INTERGRID Configurator interface

The INTERGRID Configurator uses a sidebar navigation divided into five main sections:

    • Home: Displays app status and an overview of connected devices.
    • Device: The primary workspace for adjusting settings, viewing device information, and managing firmware for the active device.
    • Firmware: A searchable library of available firmware updates.
    • Settings: Application preferences, including language and debug tools.
    • Help: Contains versioning, contact information, and credits.
  5. Supported device types in INTERGRID Configurator

The INTERGRID Configurator supports multiple families of devices, each featuring a unique settings interface and workflow. The supported device types include:

    • Electronic Speed Controller (ESC): Specifically AM32-based ESCs. Configuration includes device information, settings groups, EEPROM management, .itgcfg file import/export, factory resets, and Flight Controller panel settings.
    • Emergency Vehicle Control Systems: Specifically Emergency Vehicle Relay System (EVRS) controllers.
    • Emergency Vehicle Lighting: Dedicated lighting devices for emergency vehicles.
  6. Navigate the SIGSA Intergrid Configurator interface

Once a device is connected, the following features are available:

    • Device Info: View the device name, model, serial number, and firmware version on the Device page.
    • Settings: Browse and expand settings groups such as Essentials, Motor, and Brake.
    • Firmware: Check the current firmware version and look for available updates.
    • Navigation: Use the sidebar to switch between the Home page and other functional sections.
  7. Protect KRIOS™ MINI from environmental hazards

The KRIOS™ MINI is a bare board and is susceptible to failure from water, heavy moisture, or dust. Depending on operating conditions, implement the following:

    • Use conformal coating or heat shrink tubing for moisture protection.
    • Use enclosures for dusty environments.
    • Ensure adequate ventilation for cooling airflow.
  8. Connect a device via USB Direct Connection

Use a direct USB connection for bench testing, configuring a single device, or when the device is not installed in a vehicle. Note that only one device can be connected at a time, the device must be powered on, and you must use a data-capable USB cable.
    1. Connect the device to your computer (USB cable for standard devices; USB Dongle for single-wire devices).
    2. Click Connect in the top navigation bar.
    3. Select the device's serial port from the list.
    4. Set the connection method to Direct.
    5. Select the communication protocol:
      • AM32: For AM32-based ESCs
      • Astrata™: For Astrata-compatible devices
    6. Click Connect.
  9. Wire the AJAX ESC Power and Signal Inputs

Follow these guidelines for stable operation:

    Power Input:

    • Keep input ripple below 5% of the bus voltage.
    • Limit input lead length to a maximum of 30 cm (12 in).
    • Use a wire gauge appropriate for the application's current draw.

    Signal Wiring:

    • Connect the signal wire to the flight controller's motor output.
    • A ground wire must be connected to ensure a proper signal reference.
    • Supported protocols: PWM(50Hz), Dshot, Bi-Directional Dshot, Oneshot, Multishot, Proshot.
