What's inside SELISE Blocks

  1. Overview of Blocks OS Magic Links

The Magic Links service in Blocks OS allows administrators to create secure, time-limited URLs. There are two primary types:

    • Redirect magic links: Shortened URLs that direct users to a specified endpoint while maintaining authentication context.
    • Action magic links: URLs that execute a predefined backend HTTP request (GET or POST) to trigger workflows or system events without redirecting the user.
  2. Overview of Blocks OS Platform

Blocks OS is a developer-focused cloud platform designed to accelerate application development. It reduces the need for infrastructure wiring by providing a suite of integrated tools, including a ready-to-use front-end boilerplate, backend services, AI capabilities, observability tools, and deployment utilities.
  3. Overview of Blocks OS platform capabilities

Blocks OS is a cloud platform designed to accelerate application development by providing pre-built core foundations and infrastructure. Key features include:

    • Core Services: Out-of-the-box IAM, authorization, captcha, localization, and a browser extension.
    • Integrated AI: Built-in Agents for conversational AI and workflow automation.
    • Deployment: An end-to-end environment handling builds, runtime, scaling, and observability.
    • Observability (LMT): A built-in Logging, Metrics, and Tracing stack for monitoring and troubleshooting.
    • Developer Tooling: A CLI for scaffolding and project management, and 'Blocks Skills' for coding agents.
  4. Overview of Blocks OS platform capabilities

Blocks OS is a cloud platform designed to accelerate application development by providing pre-built core foundations and infrastructure. Key capabilities include:

    • Core Services: Out-of-the-box IAM, authorization, captcha, localization, and browser extension support.
    • AI Agents: Integrated conversational AI for user guidance and workflow automation, configurable within the platform.
    • Deployment: An end-to-end environment handling builds, runtime, scaling, and observability.
    • Observability (LMT): A built-in Logging, Metrics, and Tracing stack for monitoring performance and troubleshooting without external tooling.
    • Development Tools: A dedicated CLI and SDK to scaffold and connect applications to Blocks OS services.
  5. Delete a Blocks OS environment

Environments can be deleted using the button located in the top right of the Overview page. Deleting an environment results in the loss of all data across all services within that specific environment; however, other environments within the same project remain unaffected.
  6. Use SELISE Blocks Assistant for Blocks Cloud

    v3
The SELISE Blocks Assistant extension is designed for the Blocks Cloud architecture. It allows users to select specific projects and environments within Blocks Cloud. Selecting an environment automatically opens the corresponding URL in the browser. For users still utilizing the previous application, the SELISE Blocks Assistant (Legacy) extension remains available.
  7. Integrate custom services with Blocks OS observability

The observability tools (Logs, Traces, and Usages) are not limited to internal Blocks microservices; they can be used for your own deployed services as well.
  8. View information sources in AI bot conversations

    v3.7.1
AI bot conversations now explicitly display the source of information used to generate the response, improving transparency and traceability of AI-generated content.
  9. Integrate Blocks Cloud Agents with Selise AI

    v3.7.11
Selise AI now supports direct interaction with agents configured on Blocks Cloud. This allows the conversational interface to leverage the Blocks RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architecture, including dedicated knowledge bases, custom tunings, and context-aware retrieval for domain-specific AI assistants.
  10. Configure a custom URL for Blocks OS deployments

To host a repository on a custom domain, follow these steps:

    1. Navigate to the project overview page and click the Configure button to set a custom domain.
    2. In the repository lists summary page, click Edit domain to assign the custom domain to specific repositories.
    3. Save the changes and trigger a deployment from the repository details page.
  11. Activate a repository domain

When repositories are added to Blocks OS, a unique domain is generated for each. To make a specific repository's domain active, locate the repository in the Overview page and click the "Set" button next to it.
  12. Perform in-context localization with UILM Assistant

The UILM Assistant provides an end-to-end localization workflow via its side panel. Users can browse project keys and modules, view key details, and edit language values directly while viewing the live application page, ensuring localization is tightly coupled to the user experience.
