What's inside Metric

  1. Overview of metric-fingerprint Android SDK features

The metric-fingerprint SDK provides a ready-to-use fingerprint authentication flow consisting of 4 pre-built screens. It is designed for quick integration with minimal customization and includes the following capabilities:

    • Pre-built Activity-based UI compatible with both legacy and modern Android projects
    • Integration with the Activity Result API
    • Support for theme customization
    • Automatic permission handling
    • Automatic manifest merging (the SDK Activity is automatically merged into the app manifest)
  2. Overview of Metric KYC Verification Solution

Metric is a KYC (Know Your Customer) verification platform that allows businesses and developers to integrate identity verification into their applications. It supports multiple verification types to ensure regulatory compliance and user trust, specifically offering verification for:

    • Passports
    • Driver's licenses
    • Voter IDs
    • Ghana cards
  3. Overview of Metric KYC Verification API

The Metric API allows developers to integrate KYC (Know Your Customer) verification into their applications to verify customer identities, assess credibility, and ensure regulatory compliance. The API supports multiple verification types, specifically passport, voter ID, and Ghana card verification.
  4. Overview of Metric Library KYC Verification

The Metric Library provides a KYC (Know Your Customer) verification service for developers to verify customer identities, assess credibility, and ensure regulatory compliance. It supports multiple verification types, specifically including Passport, Voter ID, and Ghana Card verification.
  5. Overview of MetricWebviewSDK for Flutter

MetricWebviewSDK is a Flutter package used to implement token-based identity verification via the Metric Africa service. It provides functionality to initiate token verification, check the status of verification tokens, and display a verification modal for user interactions.
  6. Overview of Metric Library KYC Verification

The Metric Library is a Web SDK that allows developers to integrate KYC (Know Your Customer) verification processes into their applications. It enables identity verification and credibility assessment to ensure regulatory compliance. Supported verification types include Passports, Voter IDs, and Ghana cards.
  7. Introduction to MetricSDK for React Native

MetricSDK is a React Native library used to facilitate token-based identity verification via the Metric Africa service. It allows developers to initiate token verification, check the status of verification tokens, and display the verification process to users through an integrated modal.
  8. Understand the Remote Verification process

Remote verification is a process used to verify individuals via the Metric API. The workflow consists of two primary steps: first, the API generates a unique token that acts as a key identifier for the session; second, a distinctive verification link is generated and sent to the individual to initiate the verification process.
  9. Update Android SDK requirements for Version 0.4.3

Version 0.4.3 introduces support for Android devices using the 16 KB memory page size (16 KB paging architecture). This version increases the minimum supported Android version and SDK requirements.
    // Required for Version 0.4.3
    compileSdkVersion 35 // or later
    targetSdkVersion 35 // or later

// Minimum supported Android version: Android 8.0 (API 26)
  10. Understand the Metric Fingerprint SDK UI flow

The Metric Fingerprint Android SDK implements a 4-screen automated flow to capture and verify fingerprints. Navigation between these screens is handled automatically by the SDK, and the final outcome is returned to the calling application via the Activity Result API.

The flow consists of the following screens:

    1. Finger Selection Screen: The user selects the specific finger to be scanned (Left/Right hand; Thumb, Index, Middle, Ring, or Little).
    2. Fingerprint Scanning Screen: The user places their finger on the scanner. The screen displays initialization progress (0-100%), a "Hold Still" message upon detection, and automatically captures the image.
    3. Processing Screen: The system processes the captured data and calls the verification API. A "Verifying Finger Print, Please wait..." message is displayed.
    4. Result Screen: Displays the final verification outcome:
      • Success: Displays the customer's name and a "CONTINUE" button.
      • Failed: Displays an error message and a "RETRY" button.
