What's inside Lunor

  1. Overview of Lunor Quest roles and capabilities

Lunor Quest is a collaborative platform for data scientists and AI enthusiasts to solve challenges via structured Quests. The platform defines two primary user roles:

    • Participants: Can join Quests, submit solutions, and earn rewards.
    • Hosts: Can create Quests, review submitted solutions, and distribute rewards.
  2. Understand the Lunor Quest lifecycle stages

A Quest on Lunor follows a linear four-stage process. Each Quest must have a defined start date, end date, and predefined evaluation criteria to ensure a structured competition flow.

    The four stages are:

    1. Quest Creation: The Host sets up the quest parameters.
    2. Submissions: Participants submit their entries.
    3. Evaluation: The Host reviews and judges the submissions.
    4. Rewards Distribution: Prizes or rewards are allocated to the winners.
  3. Understand Lunor Quest roles and capabilities

  4. Understand the Lunor quest evaluation process

Quest submissions on Lunor are manually reviewed by the host and scored based on predefined criteria specific to each quest. Final scores are published by the hosts after the evaluation process is complete. To find the specific requirements for a quest, refer to the 'Evaluation Criteria' section of that individual quest.
  5. Understand the Lunor submission cutoff system

Lunor employs a cutoff system to filter submissions, ensuring that only high-quality, competitive, and forward-ready strategies are surfaced on leaderboards and considered for rewards. The cutoff score is the minimum score a submission must achieve to appear on the public leaderboard, qualify for the forward simulation test (private leaderboard), and be eligible for final rankings and rewards.
  6. Understand the two types of wallets on Lunor

Lunor uses two distinct wallet types to separate user identity and application actions from the custody of funds.

    1. Lunor In-App Wallet: An automatically created wallet for users who sign up via social logins (Google, Discord, GitHub). Powered by ReOwn Protocol’s AppKit, it acts as an 'on-chain passport' used exclusively for signing blockchain transactions (logging in, joining quests, submitting models, redeeming/purchasing Gems). It is not used to hold or receive crypto and is not directly accessible by the user.

    2. Payment Wallet: A user-provided external crypto wallet (e.g., MetaMask, Phantom, Coinbase Wallet) used specifically to receive crypto rewards and payouts. This wallet is fully controlled by the user, and Lunor has no access to it.

  7. Manage and earn Gems on Lunor

Gems are used to unlock features and enhance platform engagement on Lunor. Users can manage their Gems via the Gems page, where they can track their current balance, view transaction history (including purchases and task earnings), and acquire more Gems through three primary methods: purchasing with POL tokens, referring new users, or completing social tasks.
  8. Claim a Lunor Quest certificate

To claim a certificate, follow these steps:

    1. Complete a Quest on Lunor.
    2. Submit your solution on the challenge page.
    3. Once the solution is approved, the 'Claim Certificate' button will appear.
    4. Click the button to mint the on-chain certificate to your connected wallet.

  9. Best practices for selecting a Payment Wallet

When setting up your payment address, follow these guidelines to ensure you can access your rewards:

    Recommended Actions:

    • Use Ethereum-compatible wallets such as MetaMask, Rabby, or Trust Wallet.
    • Ensure you have full control of the private key if using an EOA.
    • Verify you have the necessary permissions to move funds if using a Smart Contract wallet (like Gnosis Safe).

    Critical Warnings:

    • Do NOT use your Lunor Account ID as a payment address; doing so will cause rewards to become stuck.
    • Never share your private key or seed phrase, as this allows others to steal your funds.
    • Avoid using unsupported blockchain networks.
  10. Manage social account verification for tasks and rewards

Linking and verifying social accounts is required to unlock specific tasks, additional XP, and eligibility benefits. Supported platforms include:

    • GitHub: Required for code-based tasks.
    • Twitter/X: Required for social engagement tasks.
    • LinkedIn: Optional, used for professional credibility.
  11. Track XP and Level progress

Users can monitor their growth via three primary metrics:

    • Current XP: Total XP earned through participation.
    • Current Level: The user's current rank level.
    • Next Level XP: The amount of XP remaining to reach the next level.

To increase XP and level up, users should join ongoing/upcoming challenges and submit high-quality strategies or solutions.
