What's inside KCDOJRP

  1. Track your Fire & EMS application status

After submitting an application, a ticket will be automatically opened in Discord including the applicant, department supervisors, and staff.

    • Wait Time: Responses may take up to two weeks. Do not ask about your status, as this may lead to denial.
    • Missing Tickets: If a Discord ticket is not opened after submission, open a support ticket in the #support-and-information channel on the Discord server.
  2. Understand the Area of Play (AOP) system

The Area of Play (AOP) is a designated region of the map where players are expected to roam and roleplay. It is implemented during periods of lower server population to prevent players from becoming too spread out, thereby increasing the likelihood of player interaction and improving the overall experience.
  3. Understand the purpose of Priority Status

Priority Status is a system used to balance server action and prevent Law Enforcement Officers (LEO) from being overwhelmed by too many large scenes simultaneously. When a player has Priority Status, they are permitted to initiate large-scale scenes such as pursuits, shootings, bank robberies, hostage situations, large motor vehicle accidents (MVA), and large fires.
  4. Prepare for Fire & EMS training with learning materials

Applicants are encouraged to review the following materials to prepare for their training session and final exam:

    • Department Structure: Overview of Fire/EMS organization.
    • Responsibilities: Duties associated with each department.
    • Phonetic Alphabet: Guide to letters and sounds used by the department.
    • Standard Operating Procedures (SOP): Guide to departmental operational procedures.
    • First Shift & Expectations: Behavioral expectations and what to expect from the department.
    • Final Exam (FTO Guide): A preview of the requirements for the training exam.
  5. Conduct the recruit map knowledge and driving test

The map knowledge test involves asking basic questions about state locations (e.g., Paleto Bay, Grove Street) and introducing the postal code system. The driving test starts at Fort Zancudo. The recruit must use one of the first three non-slick-top authorized training vehicles, drive to a popular location (e.g., Mirror Park or Grapeseed) while stopping at a gas station, and follow all traffic laws (excluding blinkers). A speed leeway of 15-20MPH is permitted.
    /postal [code]
  6. Increase emergency vehicle light limits with SirenSetting Limit Adjuster

The SirenSetting Limit Adjuster (v2.0.2) is an ASI plugin that modifies the GTAV siren buffer limit. It increases the default limit from 21 lights per vehicle to 32 lights. Additionally, it expands the number of light object IDs allowed natively by FiveM from 255 to 65,535, enabling more custom lights and more vibrant emergency vehicle lighting.
  7. Train recruits on CAD status codes and search functions

Recruits should be trained on the Officer Dashboard and the following CAD operations:

    Status 10-Codes:

    • 10-8: Clear & Available
    • 10-49: En-route
    • 10-97: On Scene/In the area
    • 10-6: Busy with official business
    • 10-7: Busy with un-official business (AFK)
    • 10-10: Off Duty
    • 10-33: Panic Button

    Search & Utility Functions:

    • Name Search (10-31): Review license types (Class D, C, M), flags/alerts, registered vehicles, tickets, warrants, and notes.
    • Plate Search (10-28): Use the Civilian Phonetic Alphabet to search plates; review owner, model, insurance (I.N.S.), registration/tax status, and stolen reports.
    • Call For Service (CFS): Creating calls with postal/location auto-fill.
    • Tickets: Creating reports, violations, and seized items.
    • BOLO (Be On The Look Out): Creating Person, Vehicle, or 'Other' (e.g., extra patrol) BOLOs.
    • Notepad: Using the personal officer notepad.
    • Warrants/Laws: 10-29 refers to BOLOs & Warrants. Penal codes are located under Officer > Penal Codes in the CAD.
  8. Complete a traffic stop report and clear the scene

After the stop, document the incident in the CAD and notify dispatch that you are available.

Report Writing: Fill the details box with the stop timeline (e.g., "I clocked a speeding red SUV at 55mph in a 25mph zone on El Rancho Boulevard and initiated a traffic stop at 9883").

Radio Clearance: Use the format: "651 [callsign] [disposition code][race] [reason] [status]"

    • Example: "651 2N-40 D4W Speed 10-8"
    • D4: Warned
    • W: White (race)
    • 10-8: Clear and available
  9. Install SirenSetting Limit Adjuster in FiveM

To install the SirenSetting Limit Adjuster ASI plugin, follow these steps:

    1. Close FiveM completely.
    2. Download and extract the plugin .zip file.
    3. Copy the .asi file from the extracted folder.
    4. Paste the .asi file into the FiveM plugins directory: C:/Users/{your name}/AppData/Local/FiveM/FiveM Application Data/plugins.
      • Tip: If you cannot find the path, press Windows Key + R, type %AppData% (case sensitive), and navigate to the local FiveM folder.
    5. Launch FiveM.
  10. Operate LEO in-game menus and commands

FTOs must guide recruits through the LEO menu and associated commands:

    Menu Actions:

    • Dragging, cuffing, and placing players in vehicles.
    • Deploying spike strips.
    • Checking BAC (Blood Alcohol Content).
    • Tackling players (Keybind: Shift+W+E).

    Other Menu Functions:

    • Speed Zones: Creating and removing zones.
    • Wardrobe: Automatic uniform and loadout assignment based on rank.
    • Vehicles: Probationary deputies are limited to the first three (Non-Slick Top) vehicles. Note that spawned vehicles include the recruit's call-sign and exempt plate.

    Essential Commands: /cuff, /drag, /piv, /spikes {num}, /dv, /me, /gme, /hu, /huk.

  11. Standardize Fire and Medical Report Writing

All incidents, including fires, crashes, and medical calls, must be documented. Reports must:

    • Include essential details: time, location, and the type of fire or medical incident.
    • Use standardized formats and language to ensure clarity and consistency.
