What's inside jodiBooks

  1. Overview of the jodiBooks Price List Widget

The jodiBooks price list widget allows you to easily display your service and product pricing on your website. A key benefit is automatic synchronization: when prices are updated within jodiBooks, the changes are immediately reflected on your website without requiring manual updates to the site code.
  2. Overview of the Jodibooks Webshop module

The Jodibooks Webshop module is composed of two primary components: a dashboard for managing webshop orders and a webshop widget that can be embedded on a website. The module allows customers to place orders online and supports integration across various platforms including WordPress, Facebook, and Instagram.
  3. Overview of the Agenda & Online Appointments module

The Agenda & Online Appointments module provides two primary components for managing bookings: a Calendar (Agenda) located within the user dashboard for administrative management, and an Online Appointments module (widget) that can be embedded on a website to allow clients to book appointments.
  4. Overview of the JodiBooks Finance Module

The Finance module in JodiBooks is designed to track financial data and is divided into two primary components: Income (Inkomsten) and Expenses (Uitgaven). Users can configure the module settings and manage the recording of both incoming and outgoing funds.
  5. Sync jodiBooks appointments with Apple Calendar

jodiBooks provides a unique calendar link that allows Apple Calendar to read your appointments. Note the following constraints:

    • Read-Only: The link is one-way. You cannot make changes to your jodiBooks agenda via Apple Calendar; all changes must be made in the jodiBooks dashboard.
    • Update Delay: Apple determines the refresh frequency, typically every 12 to 24 hours. Changes will not appear immediately.
    • Security: The calendar link is not password-protected. Anyone with the link can view your agenda. If a link is compromised, contact jodiBooks support to change it.
  6. Understand jodiBooks accountant export contents

A standard jodiBooks accountant export includes the following files:

    • A .pdf overview of income, expenses, and hours (if the Agenda & Online Appointments module is used).
    • A .csv file containing detailed income and expense data for the accountant's software.
    • .zip files containing all attachments/uploaded invoices associated with income and expenses.

Note: If you only require the summary, you can opt to export only the PDF during the creation process.

  7. Manage private and business customers in jodiBooks

The jodiBooks address book manages both customers and suppliers. By default, only private customers are enabled. Business customers can be activated in the Finance Settings.

    Key differences:

    • Private Customers: Only the name is required. You can record income and generate PDF notes (if enabled in Finance module).
    • Business Customers: Require additional mandatory data for invoicing, including the business address, postal code, city, and the provider's business number (KvK in NL, KBO in BE) and VAT number.
  8. Understand the jodiBooks Income screen layout

The income screen is divided into four main sections:

    1. Income Overview: A graph showing income for the selected period, split by four payment methods.
    2. VAT Table: A table displaying the collected VAT for the selected period that must be paid to the tax authorities.
    3. Period Filter: A tool to select the specific timeframe for the displayed income.
    4. Income List: A detailed list of all income in the selected period (displayed 100 records at a time). Users can search this list by name, email address, or phone number.
  9. Understand automated customer order confirmations

Immediately after a customer places an order via the Webshop widget, jodiBooks automatically sends a confirmation email to the customer. This email includes the order number, an itemized list of purchased products (quantity, description, and price), shipping costs, and the total amount including VAT.
  10. Understand the jodiBooks Expenses dashboard

The expenses screen is divided into four main sections:

    1. Expense Overview Graph: A visual representation of expenses for the selected period, categorized by four payment methods.
    2. VAT Table: Displays the paid VAT for the selected period, which is the amount reclaimable from the tax authorities.
    3. Period Filter: Allows users to select the specific timeframe for the displayed expenses.
    4. Expense List: A detailed list of all expenses in the selected period (displayed 100 per page). Users can search this list by name, email address, or phone number.
  11. Receive notifications for new webshop orders

When a customer places an order, jodiBooks sends an automated notification email to the store owner. This allows the owner to be immediately aware of the new order, which can then be managed within the jodiBooks Webshop administration area. The notification includes the customer's name, email address, and order details.
