  3. Configure channels for the Counting Minigame

Goliath supports a Counting Minigame that can be enabled in one or more Text Channels.

    Setup:

    1. Create one or more text channels.
    2. Run /serversettings and select the desired channel(s) for the counting game.

    Behavior:

    • Correct numbers in sequence receive a ✅ reaction.
    • Incorrect numbers receive a ❌ reaction.
    • Regular text messages are ignored.
    • Messages sent by other apps (including numbers) are not counted.
  4. Report bugs using the /bugreport command

To report a bug or issue encountered with Goliath, use the /bugreport command. When prompted, provide a concise description of the bug (maximum 100 characters), followed by the steps to reproduce the issue and any additional relevant details. Note that the team will not contact you directly upon a fix, but may reach out if further information is required. For attaching videos or screenshots, provide a link within the report or upload them directly to the Support Server at https://support.goliath.bot.
    /bugreport
  5. Add Goliath bot to a Discord user account

Goliath can be added to a user account to enable commands in DMs, Group DMs, or other servers where the 'Use External Apps' permission is enabled. To do this, visit the invite page or App Directory and click the Add to My Apps button, then click Authorize.
  6. Set up a dynamic Bot Count voice channel

You can configure a Voice Channel to display a real-time count of Apps (bots) in your server.

    Setup:

    1. Create a Voice Channel.
    2. Run /serversettings and select this channel for the "Bot Count Channel" option.
  7. Configure goodbye messages and cards using /goodbyesettings

Use the /goodbyesettings command to access a configuration menu for goodbye messages, image cards, and join roles. Within the command interface, use the first dropdown to switch between different setting categories. To verify your current configuration, use the /previewjoinleave goodbye command to see a preview of the goodbye message.
    /goodbyesettings
    /previewjoinleave goodbye
  8. Set up a dynamic Member Count voice channel

You can configure a Voice Channel to display a real-time count of server members (excluding apps/bots).

    Requirements & Setup:

    1. Create a Voice Channel. The channel name must include a number (e.g., Member Count: 0).
    2. Run /serversettings and select this channel for the "Member Count Channel" option.

Caveat: Discord limits channel name updates to twice every ten minutes. If the count is not updating immediately, it may be due to this rate limit.

  9. Add Goliath bot to a Discord server

To add Goliath to a server (guild), visit the invite page at https://invite.goliath.bot or the Discord App Directory. Click the Add to Server button, select the target server from the dropdown, and click Continue then Authorize. It is critical to keep all default permissions selected, as the bot relies on them for full functionality.
  10. Assign automatic roles to new members

You can configure Goliath to automatically assign roles to users when they join the server or complete Discord Onboarding.

    Requirements for success:

    1. The Goliath bot role must be positioned higher in the role hierarchy than the roles it is intended to assign.
    2. The Goliath bot must have the Manage Roles permission.
  11. Manage social media links in your profile

Users can add or remove social media links that appear on their profile. These links are accessible via the 'Social Links' option in the select menu at the bottom of the profile embed (this menu option is only visible if the user has provided at least one link).
    # Add a social link
    /social add <platform> <link>

    # Remove a social link
    /social remove <platform>
  12. Customize the Goodbye Message and use text variables

The Goodbye Message is sent to the designated Goodbye Channel when a user leaves the server. The default message is **{user.name}** just left the server.

Both the Goodbye Message and the Goodbye Card fields support the following text variables:

    • {user}: User mention
    • {user.name}: User's nickname, global name, or username
    • {user.id}: User's ID
    • {user.nth_member}: Ordinal member number (e.g., 1st, 2nd)
    • {guild.name}: Server name
    • {guild.id}: Server ID
    • {guild.member_count}: Total server member count
