  1. Configure BetterHud with a Default Resource Pack

If you are not using a plugin like ItemsAdder or Oraxen, you can manually integrate BetterHud by copying the generated build folder into your standalone resource pack.
    # 1. Run command:
    /betterhud reload

    # 2. Copy the folder from "BetterHud/build" and paste it into your resource pack folder.
    # 3. Load/Reload the resource pack in Minecraft.
  2. Install item packs using Nexo

Follow these steps to install packs for Nexo:

    1. Verify all prerequisite plugins are installed.
    2. Copy the contents of the "Nexo Setup/Nexo" folder into your server's plugins folder.
    3. Execute the command /n reload all to apply changes.

    Version Constraints:

    • Armor Components: Requires Minecraft 1.21.2+
    • Trim Armor Sets: Available for versions 1.20 to 1.21.1
    • Hats: Requires Minecraft 1.21.3+
    /n reload all
  3. Configure Nexo for armor components (1.21.2+)

To set up Nexo for armor components in version 1.21.2+, install the Nexo folder into the server plugins directory and configure the armor type to COMPONENT in the settings file.
    # Nexo/settings.yml
    CustomArmor:
      type: COMPONENT
      auto_assign_settings: true

    After configuration, run:

    /n reload all /n inv

  4. Open an MCmodel support ticket

To open a support ticket for MCmodels, you must link your Discord account to your MCmodels profile and initiate the ticket through the downloads page. This creates a dedicated support channel on Discord for communication.
    1. Join the Official MCmodels Discord: https://discord.gg/MCModels
    2. Go to MCmodels Profile: https://mcmodels.net/profile
    3. Connect your Discord account using the 'Connect' option.
    4. Go to MCmodels Downloads: https://mcmodels.net/profile/downloads
    5. Click 'Open Support Ticket'.
    6. Check Discord for the newly created support ticket channel.
  5. Use glyphs with Nexo

To use Nexo glyphs, locate the emoji name in the configuration YAML file (e.g., Nexo\glyphs\nexo_defaults\interface.yml). Use the identified emoji name in chat or GUIs using the <glyph:name> or %nexo_name% syntax.
    # Example YAML entry
    menu_items:
      texture: required/ui/menu_items
      ascent: 37
      height: 256

    # Usage examples
    <glyph:menu_items>
    %nexo_menu_items%
  6. Use glyphs with Oraxen

To use Oraxen glyphs, locate the emoji name in the configuration YAML file (e.g., Oraxen\glyphs\emoji.yml). Use the identified emoji name in chat or GUIs using the <glyph:name> or %oraxen_name% syntax.
    # Example YAML entry
    heart:
      texture: default/chat/heart
      ascent: 8
      height: 8

    # Usage examples
    <glyph:heart>
    %oraxen_heart%
  7. Change the color of dyeable items

The dyeing process is currently only compatible with leather_horse_armor. There are two ways to change the color of these items:

    1. Via Command: Use the /dye command followed by the desired color.
    2. Via Crafting: Craft the item together with any available dye in the game.
    /dye <color>
  8. Configure BetterHud with Nexo

To integrate BetterHud with Nexo, disable GIF shader generation in Nexo's settings and configure BetterHud to output its build as a zip into the Nexo external packs directory.
    # Nexo/settings.yml
    Glyphs:
      generate_gif_shaders: false
    # BetterHud/config.yml
    build-folder-location: Nexo/pack/external_packs/BetterHud
    pack-type: zip

    After configuration, run these commands:

    /betterhud reload /n reload all

  9. Generate HMCCosmetics YML files

The HMCCosmetics YML Generator allows users to create configuration files by uploading or dragging and dropping existing .yml files. The tool supports target plugins including Oraxen and Nexo.
