What's inside Eniris
- Zetara provides energy storage solutions via the Inspiration-T series. These are whitelabeled versions of the AlphaESS Smile series and function as hybrid inverters designed for residential and commercial energy management.
Overview of SmartgridX VPP
SmartgridX VPP aggregates distributed energy assets (batteries, solar installations, heat pumps, and charging stations) into a single controllable portfolio. It allows energy suppliers, traders, and aggregators to coordinate these installations for market participation and grid control while maintaining local ownership and strategy. Assets can be connected via SmartgridOne controllers, third-party energy management systems (EMS), or cloud-to-cloud APIs.Overview of MidTeQ hybrid inverter integration
The MidTeQ hybrid inverter is an all-in-one system used to monitor and control solar power and battery systems. It supports two communication protocols for integration: Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU (RS485).Overview of Frequency Containment Reserve (FCR) Operation
Frequency Containment Reserve (FCR) is used to maintain grid frequency near 50 Hz. The Eniris controller measures grid frequency locally and automatically charges or discharges the battery based on a predefined droop curve:
- Frequency < 50 Hz: Battery discharges to inject power and raise frequency.
- Frequency > 50 Hz: Battery charges to absorb power and lower frequency.
- Frequency = 50 Hz: Battery remains idle within the deadband (typically 10mHz).
Full activation is typically reached at a deviation of ±200 mHz (49.8 Hz and 50.2 Hz). The grid operator manages participation via MQTT to enable/disable the reserve and set the allocated capacity, which scales the droop curve.
Overview of Chisage Inverter product lines
Chisage manufactures PV-hybrid and battery inverters for residential and commercial use. Their product line includes:
- Jup series: Single-phase hybrid inverters
- Mars series: Three-phase hybrid inverters
- Grid-tie inverters
These inverters support operation with both solar panels and battery storage.
Overview of the Eneco Dongle P1 reader
The Eneco Dongle is a P1 reader designed to plug into the P1 port of a digital utility meter. It functions by capturing meter readings and sharing them over the local network.Overview of the Public Display (Infographic) system
The Public Display system (internally referred to as 'Infographic') allows users to create visual presentations for connected screens. It operates using a three-layer architecture:
- Template: Defines the reusable visual structure, including slides, canvas margins, block positions, and default content (charts or images).
- Instance Configuration: Binds a template to a specific site and allows for site-specific content overrides without altering the original template.
- Controller: The physical or browser-based endpoint that displays the resolved instance on a screen.
Overview of SmartgridX Monitoring capabilities
SmartgridX Monitoring is a centralized portal for managing energy portfolios. It allows users to aggregate data from various manufacturer platforms, meters, controllers, and APIs into a single structure. Key capabilities include:
- Portfolio Monitoring: Group installations by site type and use table or tile views to identify sites requiring attention.
- Installation Investigation: Drill down from a site overview to specific device groups (inverters, batteries, sensors) to inspect telemetry.
- Alarm Management: Create supervision rules to notify specific personnel when conditions are met.
- Reporting: Generate consistent PDF reports using templates for selected installations and time periods.
- Public Displays: Create reusable slide templates with charts and images for public display controllers.
- Data Integration: Connect multiple data sources, including APIs and historical data uploads.
Overview of vZEV Energy Community
vZEV (Zusammenschluss zum Eigenverbrauch) allows multiple separately-metered sites, each with their own controller, to pool grid import/export into a shared virtual energy community. This enables a site with a battery to react to the community's total grid exchange in real-time, allowing one participant's surplus solar production to be absorbed by another participant's battery.Overview of Autarco Hybrid Inverter support
Autarco hybrid inverters support both solar energy generation and battery storage. These devices are compatible with the Eniris BrandName ControllerName for energy management and dispatch.Overview of Schneider MasterPact MTZ
The MasterPact MTZ is a high-power air circuit breaker that utilizes the MicroLogic X control unit to provide advanced energy monitoring and protection capabilities.Overview of vZEV energy community features
vZEV allows multiple independently-metered sites to form a shared, live-balanced energy community. Key features include:
- Real-time Battery Steering: Batteries react to the entire community's net grid exchange to maintain balance.
- Periodic Correction: A slower correction mechanism prevents small moment-to-moment mismatches from accumulating over a 15-minute interval.
- Safety Constraints: Respects each site's individual grid connection limits and prevents solar curtailment for participating sites.
- Passive Participation: Sites without batteries can still contribute and benefit without being steered.
- Software Version Check: If a participant's controller software is outdated compared to the community, battery steering is automatically disabled until updated.
- Visualization: Includes a live map (vZEV Map) and historical charts to monitor net energy exchange.
