What's inside Endless Commerce

  1. Overview of Custom Fulfillment Integration

The Custom Fulfillment Integration connects a warehouse management system (WMS), 3PL, or other fulfillment service to Endless using the GraphQL API. It allows external systems to manage fulfillment work, update shipment and tracking information, handle cancellations, and synchronize inventory for connected buildings. This integration is specifically for warehouse execution and does not manage sales order editing.
  2. Overview of Endless Commerce Assistant Read Tools

The assistant provides 18 read tools categorized into four main groups. The assistant automatically selects the appropriate tool based on the user's natural language request. Tool access is controlled via the client's tool permission list.
  3. Overview of the Endless MCP Server

The Endless MCP server implements the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard that allows AI assistants (such as Claude on web, desktop, mobile, or Claude Code) to read live operational records from Endless. This eliminates the need to manually paste data into conversations. The connection is established via HTTP and OAuth, requiring no local installation or manual API key requests.
  4. Overview of Product Cost Estimates

Product Cost Estimates allow users to compare expected costs across different suppliers, order quantities, and fulfillment methods. They are distinct from the default Unit Cost, Landed Cost, and Dropship Unit Cost fields on a product and represent estimates rather than actual landed costs from received inventory.

Endless calculates the estimated landed cost using the formula: Unit Cost + Inbound Freight Cost + Duties & Tariffs Cost.

  5. Overview of Custom Product Integration

The Custom Product Integration allows external systems—such as ERPs, PIMs, or data platforms—to read and write product data in Endless via the GraphQL API. It is used for importing catalogs, synchronizing attributes, pricing, and media, associating products with external identifiers, and updating inventory. For non-product workflows, use Custom Sales, Custom Fulfillment, or Custom Data integrations instead.
  6. Overview of Custom Sales Integration

The Custom Sales Integration allows external systems (marketplaces, ERPs, custom storefronts) to create and maintain sales orders in Endless via the GraphQL API. It provides controlled access to read product, inventory, carrier, and channel information required to build orders. This integration is specifically for sales and order-source workflows; for catalog management, use Custom Product Integration, and for warehouse execution, use Custom Fulfillment Integration.
  7. Overview of Extensiv 3PL Warehouse Manager integration

The Extensiv integration connects Endless Commerce to Extensiv 3PL Warehouse Manager to automate order fulfillment and inventory synchronization. Key capabilities include:

    • Sending orders from Endless to Extensiv for fulfillment.
    • Pulling inventory levels from Extensiv into Endless.
    • Pulling shipment updates from Extensiv into Endless.
    • Sending Advanced Shipping Notices (ASNs) from Endless to Extensiv.
  8. Overview of ECHO Analytics Tools

The ECHO analytics suite consists of eight tools used to analyze order history, shipments, inventory, and coverage. These tools are available only on plans that include ECHO. Each subject is provided as a pair: a 'summary' tool for total aggregates over a period, and a 'series' tool for time-based trends (daily, weekly, or monthly).
  9. Understand support boundaries for Custom Fulfillment Integrations

Endless Support provides assistance with access, credentials, company scope, building assignments, and API behavior that deviates from the current reference documentation.

The following responsibilities fall to the technical team or implementation partner:

    • Designing data mappings
    • Defining warehouse workflows
    • Implementing inventory reconciliation
    • Developing the production connector
  10. Understand Endless Product Types

Endless uses Product Types to define how an item relates to inventory and other products. The Product Type is independent of the unit of measure (e.g., Each, Case, Carton).
    Product TypeWhat it represents
Finished GoodA standard finished product. Default type. May be stocked directly or made from Parts.
PartA raw material, ingredient, or component used by another Product.
BundleA sellable SKU made up of multiple Finished Goods or Parts.
AliasAn alternate commercial SKU for an existing Finished Good or Part.
Non-InventoryA service, fee, or other item that does not represent tracked inventory.
  11. Understand Endless Commerce inventory source of truth

Endless Commerce defines the 'source of truth' for inventory as whoever has physical possession of the goods. This entity is responsible for providing inventory quantities and ensuring count accuracy.

    • Internal WMS: If you use Endless Commerce as your warehouse management system, the platform and the user together act as the source of truth.
    • External WMS/3PL: If a third-party logistics provider has physical possession, they are the source of truth, and Endless Commerce relies on frequent, granular updates from them.
