What's inside Blockpass

  1. Overview of Blockpass digital identity platform

Blockpass is a digital identity verification platform that enables users to create a reusable digital identity for accessing services requiring identity verification. The platform provides tools for Know Your Customer (KYC) verification, Know Your Business (KYB) verification, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance, and other regulatory compliance checks.
  2. Manage KYC Connect services via the Admin Console

The KYC Connect Admin Console is the central hub for administrative tasks including creating and configuring KYC Connect services, selecting service plans, viewing billing information, and monitoring system activity logs. It is accessed at https://console.blockpass.org. Note that operational settings for the KYC process are managed separately via the config settings menu in the KYC Connect Dashboard (available to users with the management role).
  3. Submit candidate KYC data via KYCC Dashboard API

The KYCC Dashboard API allows developers to programmatically submit KYC data for candidates directly into the BlockPass KYC dashboard. This API is currently in beta; users must contact the BlockPass support team to gain access. After submitting data via this API, the KYC Status API can be used to retrieve the current status of the verification checks.
  4. Navigate KYC Record detail tabs

The main content area is organized into tabs to facilitate the review process:

    • Summary: High-level overview of key personal data and overall review status.
    • Identity: Detailed view of submitted identity documents and personal data. Reviewers can view submitted values/images, check previous approval/rejection status, read prior review comments, and mark fields as approved or rejected.
    • Certificate: Displays certificates associated with the record.
    • Flow / Check Flow: Displays results from automated review flows, including bot assessments, flags, and recommendations.
    • BP Forms: Displays responses from Blockpass Forms, showing each question and the applicant's corresponding answer.
  5. Understand the Export and Report page layout

The Export / Report page consists of two primary panels:

    • Left Panel (Export Data): Provides a preview table of the first 5 records and the total record count to verify data before exporting.
    • Right Panel (Export History): A reverse-chronological list of all export jobs showing status, record count, timestamp, and options to download or delete the file.
  6. Understand the Blockpass AutoReview system

The KYC Dashboard features an automated review system (AutoReview) that pre-screens incoming KYC submissions to reduce manual workload. When a new KYC record arrives, the system performs the following actions:

    • Analysis: Checks identity fields, document validity, and consistency across submitted information.
    • Compliance Validation: Applies rules such as blocked country restrictions and service-specific criteria.
    • Recommendation: Auto-approves individual fields, flags issues for manual review, or rejects specific data points.
    • Execution: Automatically marks approved fields and highlights flagged items for human reviewers.
  7. Understand the KYC Record detail page layout

When a row in the KYC List is clicked, the detail page for that applicant record opens. The interface is split into two primary sections: a sidebar on the left providing a summary of the record's state and a main content area containing tabs for detailed review.
  8. Understand Blockpass Member Accounts

A member account is required to access the Blockpass KYC Connect Admin Console and the cloud-hosted KYC Connect Dashboard. Access is managed via role-based permissions, which determine the level of functionality available to the user in these interfaces. Note that member accounts are distinct from individual Blockpass mobile-app users and their Identities.
  9. Understand KYC certificates and plan requirements

Certificates are issued by Verifiers or Merchant Services to attest to facts about an individual. Required certificates are typically determined by the Plan selected for the Service. Common plan certificates include:

    • Face Match: Certifies that the account holder's face matches the photograph in their Identity Document.
    • Identity Document Authenticity: Certifies that the presented Identity Document is authentic.
    • AML-Risk: Certifies that the individual does not appear on Sanctions, Politically Exposed Persons (PEP), or Adverse Media lists.
  10. Distribute the Blockpass registration form via shareable link

The shareable link provides a hosted registration form where applicants can submit their KYC information directly to your dashboard. To obtain this link, navigate to the service configuration page in the Admin Console and click the Shareable link button. You can then copy the link to share it via email or other communication channels, or visit the page directly to preview the form.
