A private deployment CDN management platform for managing CDN nodes, regions, DNS lines, domain resolution, site acceleration, and security protection. The platform includes administrative tools for node installation, global configuration, and user plan management, as well as user-facing features for HTTPS configuration, cache optimization, CC protection, and real-time data statistics.

What's inside 99CDN

  1. Overview of Layer 4 Forwarding Rules

Layer 4 forwarding is used to route TCP and UDP traffic from a client accessing a specific port to an origin server. It operates at the transport layer and does not parse HTTP request content, meaning it cannot modify HTTP Headers, URIs, or Cookies. This is ideal for game services, IoT long connections, and custom TCP/UDP protocol communications.
  2. Overview of Edge Computing on 99CDN

Edge Computing allows developers to execute Lua scripts on CDN edge nodes to customize the response body of requests that match specific rules. It is primarily used for response content rewriting, debugging information output, M3U8 content replacement, and returning custom HTML/JSON responses. This feature is available for Professional editions and above.
  3. Overview of 99CDN Platform Architecture

99CDN is a privately deployed CDN management platform used to unify the management of CDN nodes, regions, DNS lines, domain resolution, site acceleration, security protection, user packages, and system operations. The platform consists of the following core components:

    • Management Console (管理端): The central entry point for installing/maintaining nodes, managing regions and DNS lines, configuring domain resolution, managing sites/certificates/security rules, and handling user packages and billing.
    • CDN Nodes (CDN 节点): Servers running node services that handle business requests, caching, origin pulls, security checks, and Layer 4 (L4) forwarding.
    • DNS Resolution Service (DNS 解析服务): Manages access domains and regional domains to route requests to specific CDN nodes based on DNS lines and node group configurations. Supports both self-built and third-party DNS.
    • Log Collection Service (日志采集服务): An optional service used to receive, store, and query access logs generated by CDN nodes.
  4. Overview of Access Log features

Access Logs allow users to view site request records to troubleshoot access anomalies, analyze request patterns, and confirm cache hit status. The system supports filtering logs by time range, site, domain, and URI. Note that this feature is only available for Professional editions and above and requires the administrator to complete log collection configuration and service deployment.
  5. Overview of Conversion Rules

Conversion Rules allow developers to modify request paths, request headers, and response headers at the site level. Rules are executed based on a priority system where a smaller number indicates higher priority. If multiple matching conditions are configured within a single rule, the request must satisfy all conditions to trigger the rule.
  6. Overview of CDN Node Group Management

Node Group Management is used to organize CDN nodes and configure group types, intra-group traffic sharding (load balancing), and origin fetch strategies. Access this feature via: Node Management > Node Grouping > Group Management.
  7. Overview of Multi-level Node Architecture

Multi-level nodes create a layered back-to-origin path using upstream groups. This is used for centralized caching, hierarchical back-to-origin, or providing backup upstream resources for edge groups.

There are two primary node roles:

    • Edge Group (边缘组): Directly handles user requests and provides cache acceleration.
    • Upstream Group (上游组): Does not handle user requests directly; it serves as a cache layer for edge groups or other upstream groups.
  8. Overview of 99CDN Whitelist Rules

Whitelist rules are used to handle explicitly trusted requests. When a request matches a whitelist rule, it can bypass specified security detection modules based on the configuration, reducing the likelihood of legitimate business requests being incorrectly blocked by security policies. Note that only the selected security modules are skipped; any modules not selected will still be applied to the request.
  9. Prepare server environment for NS node installation

Before installing an NS node, ensure the target server meets the following minimum and recommended specifications. Note that ARM architecture is currently not supported.

    Hardware Requirements

    ItemMinimumRecommended (Production)
    CPU1 Core4 Cores or more
    RAM2 GB8 GB or more
Disk50 GB SSD200 GB NVMe SSD
    Architecturex86_64x86_64

    Supported 64-bit Operating Systems

    • CentOS 7.x, Stream 8, Stream 9
    • Ubuntu 18.04, 20.04, 22.04 LTS
    • Debian 10, 11
    • Rocky Linux 8.x, 9.x
  10. Understand Intra-group Sharding for cache optimization

Intra-group Sharding ensures that requests for the same resource are stably routed to a specific healthy node within a group. This prevents multiple nodes in the same group from caching the same resource, thereby reducing redundant cache usage and minimizing fluctuations in the cache hit rate. This feature is available for Professional editions and above and is only applicable to Edge Groups (边缘组).
  11. Implement CDN security protections

Configure security settings to handle trusted requests, mitigate common Web attacks, and manage abnormal high-frequency access.
  12. Manage and view plan orders in 99CDN

Order Management allows administrators to track orders generated from new plan purchases or renewals. This feature is exclusively available for Enterprise and Flagship editions. You can monitor order status, plan details, payment information, and user data.
