Cube IoT Connectivity Platform
website·Indexed 31 days ago
https://doc.iotcube.link/An IoT connectivity service management platform designed to streamline IoT operations. Cube provides tools for SIM lifecycle management, including SIM status tracking (4.0), connection monitoring, and diagnostics. The platform features a Developer Module (>1.5), Autoflow automation (>1.4), a Task Center (>1.3), and services for sending scheduled SMS, managing Call Detail Records (CDRs), and organizing company hierarchies.
What's inside Cube
- Cube is an IoT platform designed to automate IoT business operations and increase productivity. It provides a Connectivity as a Service (CaaS) management platform that allows businesses to streamline their own IoT operations and extend connectivity services to their customers and partners.
Overview of Autoflow automation
Autoflow is an automation tool designed to streamline repetitive tasks and minimize human error in SIM management. It allows users to create automated workflows based on specific event triggers, define which SIMs the workflow applies to (scope), and specify the actions to be taken when conditions are met.View SIM overview and identity information
The SIM Overview section provides critical identification and status data. Primary visible fields include the ICCID, SIM OS technology label, current status (with a life cycle transition diagram), expiry date, and usable data for the current billing cycle. Expanding the 'More' section reveals additional metadata: IMSI, IMEI, Tags (up to 10), Delivery Note Number (used to identify batches from the same order/configuration), Shipment Date (when the SIM was configured and removed from inventory), and general Notes.Access detailed SIM information cards
Expanding a SIM record via the
▶icon reveals three detailed information cards:- Basic Info Card: General SIM details.
- Connection Card: Current connection status, last connected time/place, and disconnection diagnostics.
- Service Card: Services associated with the SIM.
Monitor Autoflow execution history
Detailed information about an autoflow's activity and run history is available in the 'Detail' view. By clicking 'view' on a history record, you can see the specific results of each action, such as whether an email was successfully sent to each recipient.Understand Cube account and organization relationships
In Cube, an account serves as a unique credential. A single account can be associated with multiple organizations, and the account will hold a specific role within each of those organizations.Analyze data and SMS usage trends
The Usage Overview Chart allows users to view data and SMS usage across different timeframes. Note that data update frequency depends on the Mobile Network Operator (MNO) synchronization strategies, with typical latency ranging from 10 minutes to 24 hours.Understand Organisation and Role structure in Cube
In Cube, Organisations are independent entities used to isolate and protect data through strict security policies. Access to this data is managed via Roles, which define the level of access a user has within a specific organisation. A single account can be associated with multiple organisations, acting in different roles (wearing 'different hats') across them. Organisations are interconnected through these shared accounts.Understand SIM suspension and resumption
Suspending a SIM disables all associated services, including data, SMS, and voice. A SIM can only be suspended if it is currently in theACTIVEstate. Resuming a SIM restores all suspended services based on the current service contract; a SIM can only be resumed if it is in thePAUSEDstate.Manage SIM bundles, SMS, and events
Administrative and event tracking for a SIM is handled in the following sections:
- Bundles: Displays the bundle history; clicking a specific line provides detailed information about that bundle.
- SMS: Used to view received messages and send new SMS messages to the SIM.
- Events: Lists events that occurred for the SIM. Hovering over the relative time (e.g., '2 hours ago') reveals the exact timestamp of the event.
Use the Cube Task Center for asynchronous operations
The Task Center in Cube v1.3 manages long-running operations, allowing users to continue using the platform while tasks process in the background. It currently supports the following operations:
- SIM export (via 'SIM' page)
- Transfer SIM (via 'SIM' page)
- CDR export (via 'CDRs' page)
Key constraints:
- Task history is only retained for 7 days.
- Tasks are read-only and cannot be manually deleted.
Understand the Cube dashboard layout
The Cube dashboard is divided into three primary functional areas:
- Top Navigation: Used for managing user profiles, accessing organizations, switching between organizations, and viewing system messages.
- Sidebar Navigation: Contains menu entries grouped by functional modules such as SIM, SMS, CDR, and Settings, allowing users to navigate between different system features.
- Center Area: The main workspace where content is rendered dynamically based on the selected module in the sidebar.
