Overview of CHILLNN Magazine design type
The Magazine design type allows users to create visually appealing pages using a combination of photos and text. Even when using other design types like 'Plain' or 'Snack', Magazine content is useful because it links information to plan and room details, improving the ability to convey the property's charm to guests and enhancing SEO performance.Understand the CHILLNN credit card authorization process
Authorization (auth) is the process of verifying a credit card's validity and available balance to temporarily reserve a specific amount of the credit limit. In the CHILLNN system, authorization occurs at the time of booking (or between 55 to 58 days before the stay) via a payment gateway. Actual billing (capture) occurs on the check-in date. Authorization does not trigger an immediate charge; it only ensures funds are available.Enable English language support for CHILLNN reservation pages
CHILLNN allows reservation pages to be available in English. The English version is automatically displayed to users whose browser language settings do not include Japanese. Additionally, a language toggle button is available in the top-right corner of each reservation page.Understand and use Dummy Rooms for non-accommodation inventory
A Dummy Room is a virtual room created in the system to manage inventory independently from actual overnight accommodation rooms. This mechanism allows operators to sell services that do not occupy a guest room overnight or to sell time-slots for the same physical space without blocking the overnight inventory.
Common use cases include:
- Private sauna rentals
- Day-trip event sales
- Activity/Experience bookings (e.g., tea ceremonies, restaurant-only reservations)
- Time-based rentals where multiple bookings are accepted for one physical room in a single day.
Understand security measures for payment and data handling
The service implements the following security measures to protect users and guests:
- Credit Card Data: The service does not store any credit card information. Payment processing is handled by a reliable payment service provider compliant with international security standards such as PCI DSS.
- Payment Authentication: 3D Secure (Identity Authentication Service) is implemented for advance payments during booking to reduce the risk of fraudulent use and identity theft.
- Infrastructure: The backend is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) to ensure high levels of security and availability.
Understand CHILLNN pricing structure
CHILLNN pricing consists of three components: a Base Fee (基本料金), a Booking Fee (予約手数料), and a Credit Card Processing Fee (カード決済手数料). All prices are inclusive of tax.Understand credit card authorization and automatic cancellation in CHILLNN
In CHILLNN, credit card authorization (securing a credit limit) is used to verify card validity and available balance before the actual charge. If the authorization process fails, the reservation is automatically cancelled. The actual charge (capture) occurs on the check-in date.Understand the relationship between Room Rates and Plan Rates in CHILLNN
In CHILLNN, the 'Room Rate' (部屋料金) is the fundamental base price. If a Room Rate is not configured, the room cannot be sold or booked. The 'Plan Rate' (プラン料金) is an optional additional charge added on top of the Room Rate (e.g., for meal plans or anniversary packages). Plan Rates can be set to 0 yen.Issue gift hotel tickets to specific guests
Accommodation providers can send hotel tickets (vouchers) as gifts to specific guests. This is useful for encouraging guests who had to cancel their stay to rebook, attracting new guests, or executing marketing campaigns.Configure payment methods for accommodation plans
Accommodation providers can now specify the payment method for each plan. The available options are: 'Prepayment only', 'Both prepayment and local payment', and 'Local payment only'. This is useful for plans that must be prepaid or for local government campaigns that only allow local payment.Understand and configure Long-stay Discounts (連泊割引)
Long-stay discounts (連泊ディスカウント/連泊割引) allow hosts to apply different discount rates or amounts based on the number of nights a guest stays. The discount is applied to each individual night starting from a specified day. For example, you can set a 30% discount for the 2nd night onwards and a 50% discount for the 4th night onwards.
Note: If you need a flat discount across all dates regardless of the number of nights, use a 'Standard Discount' (通常ディスカウント) instead.
