What's inside Arrival.Space

  1. Device recommendations for editing Spaces

While Arrival.Space is compatible with mobile, tablet, laptop, and desktop PCs, the desktop version is recommended for editing a Space. Note that editing is not possible in immersive VR mode, as VR glasses are intended for viewing only.
  2. Understand 3D Mesh structure

A 3D mesh is a structured representation of an object composed of three primary elements:

    • Vertices: Points in 3D space.
    • Edges: Lines that connect vertices.
    • Faces/Polygons: Surfaces (usually triangles or quadrilaterals) formed by connected edges that define the object's geometry and surface details.
  3. Add animations to a VRM Model using Mixamo

You can add .fbx animations to your VRM Model. To ensure animations fit your model correctly, it is recommended to download your Avatar as a GLB and upload it to the animation platform first.

    Using Mixamo:

    1. Register/Login at Mixamo.com.
    2. Go to the Animations tab and search for the desired animation.
    3. Crucial Setting: If the animation moves the character away from the starting position, enable In Place so the animation plays on the spot (Arrival.Space resets Avatars to the origin point).
    4. Download Settings:
      • If you are not using your own skin/avatar, export the animation without Skin.
      • Set Frames per Second (FPS) to 24 (or 30).
  4. Create and place Annotations in a space

Annotations are interactive labels used to provide descriptions or explanations for specific elements in a space. They can be enriched with embedded images or videos.

    To place an annotation:

    1. Open the Action sub menu using the Action button (Plus Icon) in the lower right corner.
    2. Select Annotation.
    3. Place the annotation at the desired location in the space.
    4. Use the Edit Annotation interface that appears upon placement to input and format text.
  5. Connect Arrival Space MCP Server to Claude

The Arrival Space MCP (Model Context Protocol) server allows Claude to interact with your Arrival Space account to manage spaces and 3D environments. To connect Claude to the server, add a custom connector in the Claude settings.

  6. Link additional content using Gates

Gates allow you to link other Spaces, Web Links, or HTML code within your environment. To create a Gate:

    1. Click the Plus Icon button in the bottom-right.
    2. Select the Gate (Dynamic Icon).
    3. Click in the environment to place the Gate.
    4. Enter the destination URL or target.
  7. Duplicate or remix a Space

Spaces can be duplicated or remixed to create a customizable copy:

    • Duplicate: In the Space Edit UI, go to the General Tab and click the 'Duplicate' button located underneath the Privacy Settings.
    • Remix: If a Space is marked as remixable, a remix button will appear next to the owner badge. Clicking this creates a duplicate of the Space for your own customization.
  8. Create a new 3D Avatar

Within the Avatar Selection UI, clicking the 'New Avatar' button allows you to choose between two avatar types:

    • Modular Avatar: A fully customizable avatar where each part can be adjusted individually.
    • VRM Avatar: An option to create or upload a VRM-standard avatar.
  9. Export and Import Spaces for backup or transfer

Export and Import is the simplest method to save, transfer, or back up a Space using .zip files. These tools are located in the Advanced tab of Edit Mode under the Versioning section.

    To Export:

    1. Enter Edit Mode and open the Advanced tab.
    2. Click Export Space (or the download icon on the Versioning row).
    3. A .zip file named after your Space will be downloaded.

    To Import:

    1. In the Advanced tab, click Import Space (or the upload icon).
    2. Select a previously exported .zip file.
    3. Confirm the import. Note: All entities in the current Space will be replaced by the contents of the file.
  10. Get started with Vibe Coding in Arrival.Space

Vibe Coding allows users to create interactive features and logic using natural language prompts and ready-made templates instead of traditional code. To use Vibe Coding:

    1. Open the Vibes menu via the Action submenu or the Side Panel.
    2. Select a template from the Templates (official), Community (user-shared), or Yours (custom) categories and add it to your Space.
    3. Use the Vibe Prompt UI to describe the desired behavior in natural language to generate logic.
    4. Fine-tune the generated parameters.
    5. Save your changes using the floppy disk icon as either Save as New or Save to Parent.
    6. Optionally publish your custom templates from the Yours tab to the Community.
