Overview of Spring Boot features
Spring Boot is a development framework used to create standalone, executable Java applications based on the Spring Framework. It streamlines the development, deployment, and management of Spring applications through two primary mechanisms:
- Simplified Configuration: It follows the "convention over configuration" principle, providing auto-configuration for common application components to reduce manual XML or Java configuration.
- Embedded Containers: It supports embedded servers such as Tomcat, Jetty, or Undertow. This allows applications to be packaged as a single executable JAR or WAR file, eliminating the need to install and configure a separate external web server.
