    Use the following configuration adjustments to resolve common issues in Winlator:

    Performance & Stability

    • General Performance: In Container Settings -> Advanced Tab, change the Box64 preset to Performance (Gaming Mode).
    • Unity Engine Games: To improve stability, change the Box64 preset to Stability (Unity Games) or add the exec argument -force-gfx-direct in the shortcut settings under the Advanced Tab.
    • .NET Framework Apps: Install Wine Mono via Start Menu -> System Tools to improve performance for .NET-based applications.

    Graphics & Launch Issues

    • Old Game Crashes: If older games fail to launch, add the environment variable MESA_EXTENSION_MAX_YEAR=2003 in Container Settings -> Environment Variables.
    • Low Resolution Scaling: To ensure low-resolution games display correctly, enable Force Fullscreen in shortcut settings -> Advanced Tab.

    Individual Game Settings

    Instead of changing global container settings, use the shortcuts on the Winlator home screen to define specific settings for individual games.
