    Copy the contents of tcolorbox.tds.zip from CTAN directly to your local TeX file tree.

    Method 2: Manual installation

    Place the individual files into their respective locations within your TeX installation:

    • tcolorbox.sty and all .code.tex library files (e.g., tcbbreakable.code.tex, tcbtheorems.code.tex, etc.) should be placed in /tex/latex/tcolorbox.
    • Image files (e.g., blueshade.png, goldshade.png) should be placed in /tex/latex/tcolorbox.
    • All other documentation and auxiliary files should be placed in /doc/latex/tcolorbox.
