    To build the kernel modules, use the make command. It is recommended to use the -j flag with nproc to parallelize the build process.

    Important Compatibility Note: The kernel modules built from this source must be used with GSP firmware and user-space NVIDIA GPU driver components from the corresponding 610.57.04 driver release. To avoid conflicts, install the user-space components using the NVIDIA .run installer with the --no-kernel-modules flag.

    If you are using the modules for vGPU (virtual GPU) support, do not rely on the standard kernel module documentation. Instead, refer to the README.vgpu file included within the specific vGPU Host Package for detailed instructions and compatibility requirements.
  6. Configure build options (NV_VERBOSE and DEBUG)

    You can tune the build process using the following make variables:

    • NV_VERBOSE: Set to "1" to print every complete command executed. If not set, only a succinct CC line is printed.
    • DEBUG: Set to "1" to build the kernel modules with debugging information enabled. This also enables various debug log messages within the modules.
