What's inside discord-ext-voice-recv

  1. Install optional extras modules

    main
    Starting with version 0.5.2, optional dependencies are no longer bundled under a single extras package. Instead, there is a specific dependency for each individual module. To install all available extras at once, you can still use the extras identifier, but for specific functionality, you should install the corresponding module dependency. Refer to the project README for the full list of available modules and their specific dependency names.

  2. Importing extras modules

    As of version 0.5.1, voice_recv.extras no longer performs wildcard imports of its submodules. You can no longer rely on from discord.ext.voice_recv.extras import SpeechRecognitionSink. Instead, you must either import the specific extra module directly or access the class through its module name.

    # Option 1: Import the specific extra module directly
from discord.ext.voice_recv.extras.speechrecognition import SpeechRecognitionSink

# Option 2: Import the module and access the class via the module name
from discord.ext.voice_recv.extras import speechrecognition
sink = speechrecognition.SpeechRecognitionSink(...)
