hustthesis LaTeX Template

There are several ways to install the template locally depending on your needs.

Method 1: Manual Download (User Mode)

Download hustthesis-user.zip from GitHub Releases and extract it into your project directory.

Method 2: TeX Live Manager (Full Installation)

For a complete installation that integrates with your TeX distribution's directory structure (TDS), use tlmgr. This downloads the template from CTAN.

Method 3: Developer Installation

If you are contributing to the project or want to test the latest features before an official release, clone the repository and use l3build or make to install the template.

# Install via tlmgr
tlmgr [--usermode] install hustthesis

# Update via tlmgr
tlmgr [--usermode] update hustthesis

To ensure compatibility and the best experience, meet the following requirements:

• TeX Distribution: Use TeX Live 2026 or later. If using an older version, refer to PR #49 for compatibility notes.
• Engine: Compiling the document requires either XeLaTeX or LuaLaTeX.

Before starting, it is highly recommended to read the user manual for details on the document class and usage precautions.

You can use the template directly on online LaTeX platforms without local installation.

Options:

1. TeXPage: Use the template library on TeXPage.
2. Overleaf: Use the template on Overleaf.
3. Manual Upload: Download hustthesis-user.zip from the GitHub Releases page and upload it to your preferred online platform.
