A collection of community-contributed add-in samples for the ArcGIS Pro SDK. Examples include 3DAnalyst tools for Line of Sight analysis on TIN surfaces, LAS Dataset API interactions for point filtering, TIN API manipulation of nodes and edges, AI Assistant extensions for custom layout functions, and Managed Configurations for application branding.

What's inside ArcGIS Pro SDK Community Samples

  1. Overview of ArcGISProConfigCoreHost sample

    master

The ArcGISProConfigCoreHost sample demonstrates how to remotely start and remotely control ArcGIS Pro from an ArcGIS Corehost application.

It consists of two distinct components:

    1. Corehost server application (ArcGISProConfigCoreHost): The controller that starts and manages the ArcGIS Pro client.
    2. ArcGIS Pro client application (ArcGISProConfig): The client that is being controlled.

This sample is designed for ArcGIS Pro 3.7 using .NET 10.0 and Visual Studio 2026.

  2. Overview of CustomRasterIdentify sample

    master

The CustomRasterIdentify sample demonstrates how to author a tool that identifies raster pixel values and displays the results in a custom pop-up window.

    Key capabilities:

    • Displays pixel values for both the rendered raster and the source raster dataset.
    • Queries any raster, mosaic, or image service layer(s) in the map that are currently selected in the Contents pane.
  3. Overview of the CustomIdentify sample

    master

The CustomIdentify sample demonstrates how to author a tool for identifying features within a map and displaying their content in a pop-up window.

    Key capabilities include:

    • Feature Identification: Queries features in the topmost layer of the map.
    • Relationship Class Support: Displays information from Relationship Classes if they exist for the identified feature class.
    • Dynamic Pop-ups: Uses HTML and Dojo to generate and display results in a pop-up window, where content is generated dynamically as the user interacts with the results.
    • Hierarchical Display: Shows related feature class information in a hierarchical manner.
  4. Overview of the ModifyNewlyAddedFeatures sample

    master

The ModifyNewlyAddedFeatures sample demonstrates how to intercept and react to feature creation or modification events in ArcGIS Pro.

    Key capabilities demonstrated include:

    • Geometry Correction: Automatically updating the shape of a newly created or modified polygon to ensure it does not overlap existing polygons in the same layer.
    • Attribute Updates: Updating a 'Description' attribute column in the feature class to log the specific geometric correction taken.
    • Change Tracking/Logging: Creating a secondary logging entry in a separate point feature class by capturing the center point of the polygon and its associated description.

This sample is built around the concept of ProConcepts Editing / Row Events.
