Coinwink Cryptocurrency Logos

This repository contains PNG cryptocurrency logos sourced from CoinMarketCap. It includes logos for both active and inactive (dead) cryptocurrencies.

Logo Specifications:

• Format: PNG
• Dimensions available: 16x16 px, 32x32 px, and 128x128 px.
• Naming Convention: Logos are named according to their CoinMarketCap ID (e.g., Bitcoin is 1, others follow incrementally based on addition date).
• Slug Identification: For active logos, the cryptocurrency slug (name) is stored in the alt tag of the image files.

This repository provides a collection of cryptocurrency logos sourced from CoinMarketCap. One available format is a set of small-scale icons (16x16 px) located in the coins/16x16/ directory.

Each logo is stored as a .png file and is named using its unique CoinMarketCap ID (e.g., coins/16x16/5.png for Peercoin). You can reference these assets directly in your applications by constructing the path based on the ID.

To download new logos or update existing ones, run the provided PHP scripts. You must run the specific script corresponding to your desired dimensions (16x16, 32x32, or 128x128).

Behavioral Notes:

• Missing/Error Handling: If a logo cannot be retrieved from CoinMarketCap (due to an error), the script replaces the missing logo with a placeholder image from the dummy folder.
• Overwrite Logic: If no new logos are found, the script will overwrite the last 10 attempted logos with the placeholder image. The last 10 logos are always overwritten during a run.
