A standardized, service-oriented architecture framework for the banking industry. It provides semantic APIs (OAS 3.x, AsyncAPI 3.x, and Swagger 2.0) defining BIAN Service Domains, including versions extended with the Business Object Model (BOM) and ISO20022 mappings annotated for Domain-Driven Design (DDD).

What's inside BIAN

  1. Overview of BIAN Service Domain APIs with DDD and ISO20022 extensions

    main

This repository contains BIAN (Banking Industry Architecture Network) Service Domain APIs. These APIs are specifically annotated for Domain Driven Design (DDD) and have been extended with ISO20022 mappings where applicable by BIAN.

Developers can use these OAS3 (OpenAPI Specification 3.0) YAML files to understand the service domain structures and how they align with ISO20022 financial messaging standards.

  2. Contribute to the BIAN repository

    main

To contribute to the BIAN standards, follow the standard GitHub fork-and-pull-request workflow:

    1. Fork the repository: Click the 'Fork' button on GitHub to create your own working copy.
    2. Clone your fork: Use git clone to download your fork to your local machine.
    3. Create a feature branch: Use git checkout -b to create a new branch for your changes.
    4. Implement changes: Add your new features or improvements to the branch.
    5. Commit and Push: Stage your changes using git add, commit them, and push them back to your GitHub fork.
    6. Submit a Pull Request: Go to your fork on GitHub and click the 'Pull Request' button.

Proposed changes are reviewed by BIAN Working Groups. If approved, they are integrated into future scheduled releases.
