AWS SDK for Python (Developer Preview)

The aws_sdk_bedrock_data_automation client provides programmatic access to Amazon Bedrock Data Automation. Note that this client is currently under active development; breaking changes may occur before version 1.0.0 is released.

The experimental Amazon Bedrock Runtime client for Python is a new, Smithy-based, asynchronous SDK designed specifically for interacting with Amazon Bedrock Runtime.

• Async-first: It is an experimental async Python SDK.
• Experimental Status: It is in early development; expect breaking changes.
• Service Scope: Currently, this specific package only supports Amazon Bedrock Runtime.

Using this SDK with Boto3

If you need to access AWS services other than Amazon Bedrock Runtime, you should use Boto3. You can use Boto3 and this experimental SDK together within the same application to build comprehensive solutions.

The aws_sdk_sagemaker_runtime_http2 client provides an interface for interacting with Amazon SageMaker Runtime using HTTP/2.

The aws_sdk_bedrock_agent_runtime client provides programmatic access to Amazon Bedrock Agents at runtime.

There are two primary scripts provided to demonstrate different ways of consuming the bidirectional streaming API:

1. stream_speech_to_file.py: Streams synthesized audio and saves the resulting stream directly to an MP3 file. Requires no extra dependencies.
2. stream_speech_to_speakers.py: Provides real-time MP3 playback through your speakers as audio arrives. The MP3 decoder handles the buffering. Requires the miniaudio dependency.

The aws_sdk_bedrock_agentcore client is a developer preview package used to interact with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore.

The SDK is built from Smithy models and provides several core capabilities:

• Async operations: Every service operation is an async method compatible with asyncio.
• Per-service packages: Granular installation of only the clients your application requires.
• Type annotations: Operations, input models, and response models include type annotations for IDE and type checker support without extra stubs.
• Streaming support: Support for event streams and bidirectional streaming for supported services.
